I can get you some pics,but it is an over the counter steel saw bench,the saw is clamped by the bar,& hinges on the clamp,its good for timber up to about 12 / 14 inch diameter,in straightish lengths.

Right,his name (as Felix knows) is Billy the Sh*t,the dog has a lot of character,& is a bit 'off centre' sometimes. The pics were not contrived,he must have laid down behind me,I was cutting with the saw clamped on the bench. He is, loosely, a long haired Jack Russel at 13 years old.

They can have an individual TPO on them,unusual but they can,if they have you are likely to find out,check everything,I have just priced up a elder take down with its very own TPO!

Did some much needed kit service today,then cut up some alder from a few removal jobs of dead trees along the canal bank,the dog likes to be with me,but going to sleep behind the saw bench with a 346 on full chat for an hour is plain daft,he got up,took his pleasure up a plumb tree,And resumed his slumber,here is the result! IMG_1457 by geoff321, on Flickr IMG_1464 by geoff321, on Flickr After this I had to go price up the removal of an elder,(me thinking here we go,15 miles to price that up!),well this elder has a tpo on it,but is about to pop its clogs,I have not seen one like it in my life,I will have to climb it,but thats ok with 3 stems at about 300mm dbh,& it must be replaced,I am doing it Friday,& will get some pics,I did sugest to the client that rather than grind a big stump,I could coppice it!

Take the advice,wish I had,blew mine out in 2 weeks,I was back at work after a week & made a mistake, slipped & bang,it tore.

I have one of these,very good tool.

If you use steel tube for your bollard,weld a cap top & bottom,drill a hole & tap a thread,fill with diesel or central heating fluid,then cap the threaded hole,these are not gas axe friendly.
