  1. The lump & winch etc would help keep other history going, I bet you would struggle to get a loler ticket on it, & nice though it is, & a shame to cut it up, that's most likely what will happen to it.
  2. I know mate, a monkey is £500, as advertised, but I think the seller is after more.
  3. Strictly speaking it's selling for a Monkey, but, I think that he intended that to be the start bid price, hmm, if it was near me I would have a pop at the stated price & break it up, if he honoured the sale!
  4. Fuel lines on these & the tw125 do break down, I would replace them, & clean out the tank too. If your fuel pump is on the engine a perforated fuel pipe can often show no signs of a leak, but will draw air whilst running, causing engine running problems.
  5. Point taken, just thought it was the usual kit pics.
  6. I don't think it's for sale, only just had the AA stickers put on it.
  7. Just crack on, might smoke a bit for a few minutes, but your saw is newish so the petrol most likely hasn't softened the carb rubbers.
  8. You will be fine, on rare occasion the carb rubbers play up due to the change of fuel ( no ethanol), go for it, you wont look back.
  9. I hung my ground up by the ankles once, great fun!

    Jokes???

Teacher: "Four crows are on the fence. The farmer shoots one. How many are left?" Little Johnny: "None." Teacher: "Listen carefully: Four crows are on the fence. The farmer shoots one. How many are left?" Little Johnny: "None." Teacher: "Can you explain that answer?" Little Johnny: "One is shot, the others fly away. There are none left." Teacher: "Well, that isn't the correct answer, but I like the way you think." Little Johnny: "Teacher, can I ask a question?" Teacher: "Sure." Little Johnny: "There are three women in the ice cream parlor. One is licking, one is biting and one is sucking her ice cream cone. Which one is married?" Teacher: "The one sucking the cone." Little Johnny: "No. The one with the wedding ring on, but I like the way you think."
  11. You have perked my ears up saying that, sounds nice!
  12. Probably does!
  13. A great present, & happy birthday to you!
  14. Modesty is a virtue that is not generally noticed, Boastful ramblings after a while are discarded. Better to be not seen than cast asunder.
  15. Well in all the excitement, from a mere minion:001_tongue:, well done on getting your AA status, Silky, do you have an open cheque book, wasn't so long ago you were on your bike! Wishing you all the best, you have done well, & keep up the modesty that is so familiar to a true northern man, or machine...
  16. Treequip, I fully endorse anyone who questions hard commercial enterprise, or anything for that matter, but in general the fuel works well in saws, it is a fact that it contains less of the nasty additives, ( which we breath in from a close quarter used 2 stroke), & is more stable when left in a combi can, ( which we all use). It is more expensive to use, fact, it can be harder to attain for too many people, these are the stumbling blocks. So in a succinct reply can you enlighten me to your reasons for scepticism on this type of fuel? as I stand rather perplexed, & as a rule respect your knowledge & input.
  17. It does make the 150 more responsive, & less likely to bog out in the cut, glad I did mine even though I use it for sub 4 inch cuts unless a bit of deadwood or the occasional larger piece needs sorting.
  18. Earlier post, that I consider worth a read, including link.
  19. Some of the old saws, same as some old cars, would run on porridge, (low compression), modern saws are a different kettle of fish, & do require a better fuel. Pump fuel does turn within a month or two, it is absorbing water via the ethanol all the time. the ethanol is also slowly destroying the carb rubbers & other 'soft parts'. We are breathing in the ethanol & benzene ( amongst other additives) as a two stroke is not burning all the fuel, so long term both machine & operator will be suffering, do some research. There is no disputing these facts, just some decide that the price of the fuel is more than they are prepared to pay, or they find dealers too far away. For me, it's a no brainer, I want to keep my machines hassle free, & improve my chances of not having long term health problems associated with long term petrochemical exposure. There have been extensive reports from professional bodies on the last point, I myself posted one such some time ago. Quite how anyone would argue against the validity of Aspen is beyond common sense.
  20. Wait till you try one that has had the exhaust drilled, it goes much better, picks up the revs cleaner & has more power.
  21. If you cant feel your toes it's either inflexibility, bad circulation, or you forgot to take your gloves off!
  22. I just hope so much you get a good end result out of this, heart wrenching indeed.
  23. Used one of the early ones a lot, was it the t595 speed triple, yep it was. Fantastic bikes!
  24. Superb mate!
  25. Sounds like you had a good time mate, must get myself entered into an endurance comp, I did a nice gentle loop of the Essex Byways yesterday, so no aches for me! 002 by geoff321, on Flickr
