  1. Got mine, a 4 tine one, made by Digbits, it is a very usefull bucket for rooting out smallish stuff, balling up bramble etc & just breaking up ground for levelling, the tines are welded to a hollow tube, so I can fabricate extension tines on each side & pin them on, just got to get round to doing it. Also I intend to fit a removable 'thumb' on the boom so I can use it as a as a glorified grab. Mine is on a quick hitch, & the setup is invaluable imo.
  2. That was one sticky site today, the landy did well, but the helping hand was erm, usefull. I really like the Ranger,if I get6 round to retiring one will be gracing my driveway.
  3. Fair play to you Daniel, The ford Ranger is now firmly on my wishlist, I would have been there till next summer!
  4. She's even more foxy than you are mate!
  5. Many a good tune played on an old fiddle!
  6. I'm not an arborist either, my main living is with a toothbrush recycling firm, but I'm on here as I like to spam & flame Felixthechopper, & I must thank Mr Bulman & crew for allowing me to grace these hallowed halls with my diatribe!
  7. The owner of the tree has responsibility for removal & costs incurred, no one can accurately say how long it will stand, but strong autumn winds could see it in trouble. I would get a professional in to evaluate & price for potential removal, they will most likely talk to the tree officer on the council if they find it an immediate threat, something not possible to do from pictures alone.
  8. Here is a link to the fungi directory, ( in the toolbar at the top). Meripilus giganteus - Giant polypore - David Humphries’s Fungi Directory - Arbtalk.co.uk | Discussion Forum for Arborists
  9. Looks like Meripilus giganteus to me, others will be along to confirm as I am not the best at this. If so it does not bode well for the tree.
  10. Less ethanol, higher octane, should work better in high performance engines, both s & 4 stroke.
  11. You probably had a 'lemon', they do happen due to abuse / lack of decent maintenance by previous owners. The dealer who only wanted to work on the 'green wellie' versions was after yuppy money, some are. You need to be careful what you buy, the ones that have had everything replaced are often the ones that have been abused at some time.
  12. Mine has not broke down in 5 years, nor the ones before it, all second hand, just look after them. I can get 4.5 to 5 m of chip on mine, but I doubt that would be legal, payload of 1.25 ton roughly. The 130 single cab spreads the axle loading better than the 110. I'm getting 25 ish mpg unless I tow a heavy load. People that say they are cr*p just don't know what they are on about, listen to those who have used them over a long period of time, if they were a bad motor we wouldn't be using them.
  13. Yep, its a nice looking bike Mr Noon! I would look for a sump/ frame bash plate to keep it fresh.
  14. Vey nice tools those Echo trimmers.
  15. I do like the look of the old dr's, used to have the 350, was a lovely bike. I checked the valves etc in my wr, all in spec, did the free mods, as you say mate, one is to retard the exhaust cam one notch on the cam chain, & hit an mx practice track last Sunday, all was well apart from geared too high ( i4 tooth front, but I have a 13 to put in there). The bike is a bit of a handful if you get heavy handed on a tight track.
  16. Most likely have gummed up the carb imo. I would get it cleaned out pronto, it is unlikely to clear on its own.
  17. The 125's are a great mx bike, & easy to keep running, once you go to a four stoke you do have to keep a good eye on motor condition or it can get expensive. Just getting ready to put a new piston kit in my 426 after checking the 5 valves are in spec, ( thankfully they are), these motors take a bit more money unless you can turn a spanner a bit.
  18. Have you thought about fitting a carb from a different machine on there, I take it that both cylinders suck through the same inlet, as they will. I am running an old Solex carb on a v twin Harley bike at the moment, just to keep it going whilst I sort parts, & it might well stay on there, running fine after a simple jet change guided by spark plug reading. If you can make fit, look at any carb suited to the inlet manifold, even with a rubber boot to get it on there, some of the stump grinder motors with a kholer engine use a carb that might do the job, & they will have a rev regulating system that might be possible to link up. Some of the old rev regulating stuff was just a butterfly & spring set up, easy enough to sort for not much more than a bit of time & fiddling, some was a lever on the outside of the engine block controlled internally by a centrifugal spring weight, with a connection to the carb through a set spring. If you can see how the motor is governed to prevent it from over revving , it should be possible to set it up I would imagine.
  19. Argh Mr Noon, your going to have to get some blue saws to support those graffics on the bike now, mind you nothing wrong with a Makita!

    Jokes???

After 45 years of marriage, a couple was lying in bed one evening, when the wife felt her husband fondling her in ways he hadn't in some time. It almost tickled as his fingers started at her neck, then caressed her shoulders and began moving down past the small of her back. Slowly he worked his hand over her breasts, stopping just over her lower stomach. He then proceeded to place his hand on her left inner arm, caressed past the side of her breast again, working down her side, passing gently over her buttock and down her leg to her calf. Proceeding up her inner thigh, he stopped at the uppermost portion of her leg. He continued in the same manner on her right side, then suddenly stopped, rolled over and became silent. Aroused by this caressing, she asked in a loving voice, 'Honey, that was wonderful. Why did you stop?' 'I found the remote

    Jokes???

Two women were playing golf. One teed off and watched in horror as her ball headed directly toward a foursome of men playing the next hole. The ball hit one of the men. He immediately clasped his hands together at his groin, fell to the ground and proceeded to roll around in agony. The woman rushed down to the man, and immediately began to apologize. "Please allow me to help. I'm a Physical Therapist and I know I could relieve your pain if you'd allow me," she told him. "Oh, no, I'll be all right. I'll be fine in a few minutes," the man replied. He was in obvious agony, lying in the fetal position, still clasping his hands there at his groin. At her persistence, however, he finally allowed her to help. She gently took his hands away and laid them to the side, loosened his pants and put her hands inside. She administered tender and artful massage for several long moments and asked, "How does that feel?" He replied: "It feels great, but I still think my thumb's broken!
  22. I thought so mate, but couldn't resist a leg pull! Good to see you up & about.
  23. Ah, the 'big city fungus'...metropolis, I think you meant meripilus Chris!
  24. Trouble here is towns / areas get taken over by each side, what may have been in the position of one group can easy fall into another's hands, proving who actually used the stuff can get very difficult in the fog of war, & whoever used it will have calculated that it was worth the risk. But undoubtedly the Ass Gov had the stuff, whether it was captured or supplied to the opposition by outside parties, then used would be hard to ascertain. Claims are that it has been used on numerous separate occasions in this conflict, which would point more at the gov being the perps.
