  1. I usually just click on the 'unread posts' button to see what is going on here on AT, unless I'm looking for something specific. One thread never shows up in the 'unread posts', (Chris & Silky's Bang Tidy thread), which I find interesting, & makes for a good read, any ideas why this is?
  2. Well I'm coming out, I actually really like those little Fiats, & they make sense around town.
  3. That is nice to see Chris, not many young lads get trained up on the job like that nowadays, good on you.
  4. Stunning work there, you could sell loads of them to the politicians !
  5. That's very sad Tom, I hope everyone is ok. Don't feel obliged to answer questions on this topic, & well done to the emergency services.
  6. That's a nice looking axe!
  7. They can only do so much Bob, they have larger overheads, having said that my local dealer beat online sales when I go in there, probably because I & others I know use them without fail.
  8. Well done in avoiding that lot. These service companies really ought to have better knowledge of where they have their infrastructure, maybe nowadays they keep better records, & it's the old stuff they are ignorant of.
  9. I think Stihl have done the right thing, if the internet sales killed off the dealers, where do you going to get stuff fixed? A lot of us cant do our own spanner work, for various reasons, & rely on local dealerships to sort out issues/ warranty work. Now a lot of you will slag off the dealer support, no wonder when they have had to cut their overheads to the bone, support your local dealer, or loose them.
  10. I concur with this.
  11. I would take your friends advise with a pinch of salt, not had any problems with my converted saws, & have not read any reports backing this up. I certainly would not let a rumour affect my decision to convert to Aspen, when you weigh up the benefits.

    Jokes???

A married couple went to the hospital to have their baby delivered. Upon their arrival, the doctor said he had invented a new machine that would transfer a portion of the mothers pain to the baby's father. He asked if they were willing to try it out. they were both very much in favor of it. The doctor set the pain transfer to 10%, for starters, explaining that even 10% was probably more pain the father had ever experienced before. However, as the labor progressed, the husband felt fine and asked the doctor to go ahead and "kick it up a notch." The doctor then adjusted the machine to 20% pain transfer. The husband still feeling fine. The doctor checked the husbands blood pressure and was amazed at how well he was doing at this point, they decided to try for 50%. the husband continued to feel quite well. Since the pain transfer was obviously helping out the wife considerably, the husband encouraged the doctor to transfer ALL the pain to him. The wife delivered a healthy baby boy with virtually no pain. She and her husband were ecstatic. When they got home, the mail man was dead on the porch.
  14. Very nice quotation David, simple, nicely written & provocatively powerful.
  15. Good skills Stephen,, was the back somersault deliberate?
  16. Bit harsh, I'd offer him the position of company secretary.
  17. Made me spit my worthurs original out, the dogs choking on it now!
  18. They are a cracking bike Stephen, I bet you will have some fun with that! Come the time for new tyres, have a look at Pirrelli Rallycross, great on / off road tyres.
  19. For normal use in general arb work, say 2 hours running a day or there about, grease them every week will be ok, if the chipper is working a lot, say on a larger team, or ground clearance work, every third day would be ok, don't forget to spread some grease on the sliders inside & out.
  20. The wheels you posted are on the bike now Eddy, I lowered the gearing a little & the bike is much snappier for it, the front wheel gets a lot less use than the rear!
  21. I had a storm some years back, nice motors!
  22. Pot & kettle...
  23. I see the maker's name now, very nice indeed!
  24. So you will have 60 pence if they all turn up! Very nice looking axe head in the background, What brand is it?
