  1. Thank you David, that makes sense to me.
  2. Your ether a 'super sleuth', or a 'dedicated follower of fashion' mate, fess up, which is it! 3. The first one (that I was called out on) was in my opinion not caused by the last wind, but a few weeks back, in this pic you can see it still holds its leaf, would I be right in that assumption? New_1_DSCF0015 by geoff321, on Flickr
  4. Shame I got the focus a little out, but nice compression of the fibers there, hence the shot. Whilst on the job, in another tree I spotted another defect over the kids play area, pointed it out & the client had me remove it, was not too obvious to the eye. DSCF0021 by geoff321, on Flickr
  5. Couple of pics from a call out yesterday; DSCF0018 by geoff321, on Flickr DSCF0020 by geoff321, on Flickr
  6. Hopefully the problem is sorted, any news on that anyone?
  7. Silky, I want that dinner, I can nearly smell the lovely flavours from here! You look so like your Dad too mate, great pics of a fine family:001_smile:
  8. Thanks mate,, hope you are having a great time.
  9. 550 xp, not much will beat it. That from a stihl man too!
  10. Cheap bottle of rose & a packet of fags, spoilt meself this year!
  11. Nice work Max, what is painted on the cut?
  12. I did a call out yesterday afternoon, to a regular client, & general nice person, charged them for my groundy, & left it at that. Things are not great for me this christmas, & a good turn sticks two fingers up at adversity.
  13. Sharpen my tw125 blades myself on a bench grinder, get the angle right, dont get the blades hot, & it's a doddle.
  14. Hooting & hollering here too mate, looking at the forecast it will get worse after midnight for an hour or so.
  15. Is she cooking you crimbo lunch so soon in the relationship?
  16. Aye, tis true, by the time it gets up there it's blown itself out mate.
  17. This thread is getting a wee bit 'your wrong I'm right', & 'prove it', we have what we have, so adapt & stay cool.
  18. Not too bad here in Essex Jon, gusty winds with the odd chimney howler now & then, but I expect to be working through crimbo, looks like turkey sandwiches will be the best I will get!
  19. I was out tonight, & I am booked in to deal with a hanging limb in an oak over a house.
  20. Aww, that's a sweet thought!
  21. Had that sorted, spikes & flip line! Yes it was Daniel, lights were a pain, all zip tied to the outer tips, they put them up with a mewp.
  22. I have just responded to a council calling me out, the high street christmas tree was becoming a danger to shoppers, had to climb it to remove the lights & leccy cable, then dismantle the thing. I got some pointed remarks from a few passers by about early removal of the tree, & that's an understatement! I don't intend to hurt them on my invoice, as I had so much fun! A quick pic at the wobbly top! DSCF0002 by geoff321, on Flickr
  23. Most people confronted by an intruder will be acting to survive, all this planning to alter evidence after is more likely to get you in the mire with the law, when it comes to violence resulting in serious injury or death, they will have a good hard look. Anyone unfortunate enough to go through this experience would do well to just leave the resulting evidence well alone if you wish to enjoy your liberty.
  24. Found this in the shed this morning, wee little xr400, think the tyres will have to go!
  25. Nothing wrong with a road king, nice comfy bike with character!
