  1. I have used one for five years without grief or any leeks, I think it will be a case of some good, some not, depending on the specs/ price.
  2. That sounds a rather brazen accusation, careful....

It is genuinely heart warming to read of your fast progress, & the way you are dealing with this, & such a relief that you are at the early stages of getting your independence back.
  4. I have had a few, good reliable little motors, very good off road too.
  5. Pop it in hot tap water, bring to the boil & give it 8 or 9 minutes, that should cook your goose!
  6. As Mark said, also why tax those who have been prudent with their money, rather than squandering it?
  7. My partner got a fine of £80, reduced to £40 if paid promptly.

Great that you are enjoying your new freedom & breaking a few rules! I look forward to your ongoing progress, heart warming it is to see you positive still.
  9. Yep, they worled hard & saved / invested their money, so what right has anyone to take a penny of it at a later date, it should be theirs to do with as they chose without paying again, period. Another family who might have piss*d it all up the wall, then claim off the system when they get infirm won't have to pay a penny! What sort of long term plan does this encourage... & people saying it is obscene to give to your offspring don't have a clue what they are on about.
  10. Respect to you sir.
  11. I don't lend anything out, & would not ask to borrow.

Good stuff Sean, it's just so good to hear you got out & it all went well, it is 'one step' forward in your progress, keep using the expression, & aim to make it a reality in the future.
  13. I would wonder why the rad wasnt fixed, & how long it has ran like this before I considered parting with money.
  14. Then the honest taxpayer has to foot the bill for some toerag's mess, not a good idea.
  15. Well for your sake I hope you like what you see, if not, get used to it!
  16. Good advice Silky, I would also advocate the swabish as mentioned, the prussic can be prone to tightening & need constant attention to work smoothly.

Evening Sean, each of your posts both amuse me & bring a tear to my eye, your strength of mind is truly inspiring to me, & I'm sure to others who read your reports here. After a while, when your injuries settle, I'm convinced you will make good progress in your recovery.
  18. I use my iphone too, it's as good as my old tomtom thingy, & easier to set the destination imo.
  19. Yep!
  20. That sounds likely.

Sean, yours is a very touching post again, it is beyond comprehension what you are going through, and in these early days you have not had time to adapt to your situation, which will be constantly changing, it must be so frightening & depressing for all of you. Your incredible strength of mind will see you through, concentrate on maintaining it, it is one thing you have control of for the moment.
