  1. Abloy padlocks are about the best, very resistant locks, but they cost, ebay has some second hand.
  2. I bet it was all planned to get out of his contract, maybe for a more lucrative offer.

    My accident

To be fair Mark you had good reason, after they stitched the end back on upside down..
  4. Thank god for that!
  5. I picked one up in my finger clearing a blocked drain years ago, even though I had gloves on, all was ok, but it did make me sweat when I saw it hanging out my finger.
  6. People dropping those about the place want a good slap, even though the chances of catching anything is minimal it is a worry.

Aside from wishing you a good recovery, I must say, you have got real guts mate.
  8. Yes they could have done with being larger diameter, my Husky filler can works fine though.
  9. Well done Rachel, that is impressive!
  10. Stunning! I like the way it partially hides the entrance, but that may not be to other's taste!

    Jokes???

A father walks into a restaurant with his young son.He gives the young boy three 10p coins to play with to keep him occupied. Suddenly, the boy starts choking and going blue in the face. The father realises the boy has swallowed the coins and starts slapping him on the back. The boy coughs up 2 of the 10p's but is still choking. Looking at his son, the father is panicking, shouting for help. A well dressed, attractive, and serious looking woman, in a blue business suit is sitting at a coffee bar reading a newspaper and sipping a cup of coffee. At the sound of the commotion, she looks up, puts her coffee cup down, neatly folds the newspaper, places it on the coffee bar. Gets up from her seat and makes her way, unhurried, across the restaurant. Reaching the boy, the woman carefully pulls down his pants. Takes hold of the boy's' testicles and starts to squeeze and twist. Gently at first and then ever so firmly. Tighter and tighter!!! After a few seconds the boy convulses violently and coughs up the last of the 10p's, which the woman deftly catches in her free hand. Releasing the boy's testicles, the woman hands the coin to the father and walks back to her seat at the coffee bar without saying a word. As soon as he is sure that his son has suffered no ill effects, the father rushes over to the woman and starts thanking her saying, "I've never seen anybody do anything like that before, it was fantastic. Are you a doctor?" "No," the woman replied. "I'm with the Tax Office."
  12. I will grab it mate, get Spud to give it the once over if it wants it.
  13. Thanks mate, think I will have a stab at it, just got to work out what's fair money.
  14. Will do Spud, thanks, I want to buy the saw, I like an old classic. Thanks Stubby & Wisco.
  15. The man said it was a CC super, just want to check & learn what capacity it is etc. Got to make him an offer on it, so any ideas what would be fair for us both, it runs ok.
  16. Evening all, got the opportunity to own this saw, any ideas what model it is? There you go, that keeps it simple.:001_smile:
  17. Thanks Rachel, I'm throwing a couple of days into it this week, I will zap some pics net week when the floor is down.
  18. It is a cracking saw mate, I have had both the older & now have the new one. Heres some images showing the double mount chain brake.
  19. Yes split charge is the way to go, I use a voltage sensitive relay to trigger a 200amp main relay which then charges the aux battery bank, I have set it to trigger at 13.6 volts, when the alternator is producing, & it drops out at about 13.1 volts. I like the old vans, have had a few, mine is a vaxhaull movano, I chose it on it's condition, & that they don't seem to 'go walkies' very often, it's actually a nice van to drive, just dont show it a muddy field or you end up living where your stuck! From the outside it looks fairly modern, inside it's like an old wooden railway carriage, i'm not into modern fabrics & manufactured surfaces, I will pop a pic up when I get more advanced with the build.
  20. That is the old one, get the one with two brake handle mounts, it's a more pro saw with very good build.
  21. The watermill sounds favorite, there are some great ideas for them out there & they can be cheap to build with a little research, & great fun to do! I'm building my camper so I can go stay on my little plot of land when it suits, as well as trips further afield, I'm installing solar panels on the roof linked to a battery bank, which also charges from the vehicle when it is being driven, simple led lights use very little power, & I have a little wood stove for heat & cooking should it be needed.
  22. I bet your boy loves it! Loads to explore, and a retreat with character and charm, if the site is secure you could consider off grocery electricity, wind or solar, maybe even watermill from the burn, can be rigged easy enough!
  23. That's a lovely hideaway!
  24. Nice shrooms Rachel, thanks for the pictures! I was hoping to get a bit of advice on seasoning the timber myself, got to be careful it doesn't cup or distort, stacking on slats & giving it some weight is what I'm doing with my lot, & pva glue on the ends to reduce end cracking. Some woods are better than others to season, but I'm not in the know on that subject, plenty on the forum are. The Cabin sounds great by the way!
