  1. If you are in heavy pain get some 'panadol',or and 'plink fizz' soluble pain killer, crush one up to powder ,wet finger dab in powder & hold against tooth & gum,do both sides (it will fizz & get into the gum & teeth gaps). You can repeat a few times as you cant od on one tablet, ten minutes or so & it will reduce the severity of the pain till you can get it looked at,but if it is proper bad,as above A&E. Good luck with it & dont pull it about or poke holes in it,you will make things worse.
  2. If you could acertain in writing from the la,and or tree consultant, that works were needed due to safety issues (if such exist),and contact the owners solicitors they would have to declare this to any potential house purchase clients,or get it sorted. If there is an issue no one would touch the property with a barge pole, as they would be buying a problem and liability.
  3. Sycamore is used a lot in food utensils as you say, fine for a bread board, elm is great too as its tough and doesnt split like some woods will.
  4. Im buning this years sycamore,it is 4 to six inch branch wood, and it goes alright, not the best maybe but its ok,you need the air round it to season it or it can get a bit mouldy, especially if cut in summer with the sap up.
  5. Huck's about right on this one,my favourite logs are from foraging the overgrown essex hedge rows for standing dead elm with the bark coming off,Iv'e been felling a fair few standing dead elms in a woodland strip for a client......warm next winter!

  14. Sad to hear this mate, thats a hard loss. Sorry to spout this & it in no way reflects upon your misfortune, but..ANYONE using a chipper always use a very good quality motorcycle chain and lock at least,if you dont spend at least £150 on them then dont bother,it wont stop a gas axe,but it narrows it down.
  15. Please explain mate,I know you have a perspective on this, but I fail to grasp it without some background reasoning. So come on then,.
  16. Thats a good price for the consumer in my opinion.
