    ???

Big kit is a fact of life,if the competition are using it & it makes them more competitive on prices/saves labour, time, fuel, etc then you have to sink or swim. It wont go away so you have to change with the times,a shame in some ways like hedge flails as opposed to manual laying of the hedge, godsend in others, like chippers, mewps(sorry Huck)!,stump grinders etc.
  2. Thats a tough one mate, wish you all the best.

  4. That sounds dangerous, might be worth checking to see if it would be ok to give more info with the powers that be. ( I only buy genuine anyway, from orange, great service). Thanks, you could prevent a nasty from happening with this post.
  5. God loves a tryer eh! Good 1 mate... I want it for trucking around my plantations as it was pretty cold on the quad this winter! It wont be a lot warmer in a landy mate!
  6. The old bill have a few leads to follow up on,hope they get collared.
  7. I would be glad you got it,& not pretend you did not receive it,as thats dishonest,(no brainer),but if you feel the service was not up to standard put in a complaint about it. The guy who opened your other parcel would probably say he didnt read the name & address before opening, but at least he went out of his way to get it to you. Glad it all worked out for you at the end,it is a pain when these things go adrift!
  8. Oh,I didnt know that, found it on a history forum!

  10. Well if they have not been cut before,a guess at £1200,easy done in 3/4 days with 2 of you. If they have been done before then a stab at it blind £1600. Just a blind guess realy,so many variables,so I wait to get shot down!

  16. Dean, I do the same thing with my mewp, thats one area of bad practice that makes the job so much more efficient with one,but If I can hold it with one hand easy then the mewp isnt going to be over loaded.

    How Old

I will be 51 in a month,& still climb, sort of,but its always been sort of! A bloke I have work for me from time to time is 57,and is quite a reasonable climber.I reckon he will put his bus pass in his first aid pouch in a few years time!

I made a little black powder pistol (percussion cap),when I was in my teens, used to go through a 4'' breeze block no probs, cut it up after a play as it was too naughty.
