  3. You sound a bit like me mate,Iv'e a good few long term outstanding, its no big deal to me,but it is an uphill struggle when you try to reel them all in.hope it all works out good!
  4. They will put in an apearance Alen, just need time for Jim to recover his composure...
  5. Great images of your visit, love the history & trees:thumbup1: Get well soonest sir.

  9. Had to heavily reduce this old ash as it was falling apart,& doomed,so I convinced the client to let me make it safe,& retain as much as possible,a lot of heavy dead came out,and not a prety sight after all said & done, but she wont go over now. One dead upright I decided to retain as future habitat,& to remove it would have left the tree looking like a pigs ear,so I went for a natural fracture look, tell me if you think it unconvincing,it was my first one.. 019 by geoff321, on Flickr 018 by geoff321, on Flickr 013 by geoff321, on Flickr
  10. I think thats it Chris, had to put me bins on to see it,and scroll the page so I could see it move & work out which fleck it was.
  11. Chris, your eyes must be as bad as mine mate:biggrin:,the fleck in the word 'make' is the trick, mind you Ive given up wiping my screen, looks like an unwashed dinner plate.
  12. interesting one,I think you realy need to know what was used to plan your method of work, and the disposal. I may be wrong but if you handle the arisings & dispose of them you might be liable if there are any consequenses of your actions,as knowingly moving or disposing of an unknown chemical might put you in the loop. Can the area be made safe & fenced off until you know what was used?
  13. Nice little truck, love to see it all spruced up.
  14. What a plonker,probably had a quote & spat the dummy.
  15. Yep,never underestimate the levels of depravity some ilks will stoop to,I was not too shocked to see this,I hope the spotlight (& not a toothless one) focuses on the criminality which stretches well beyond this particular money spinner. I doubt it will.

    Home Brew

Need any help on the shoot this winter if it turns cold? Ahem..I might have some time spare. Winter gets a lift if I have a bad cold, honey & lemon a good dose of grand marnia,(cinamon optional extra),all premixed it a bottle. Flask of hot water to dilute to taste, very cordial!
  17. Thats what I meant/do. Also use a short length of rope adapted for the same purpose, maybe I should look at a different system,by the time most of my work gets big diameter I can go for a fell,or,as I prefer use the mewp.
  18. Maybe it will blow itself out, good heads up Matt.
  19. Thats how I work on a chog down, small stuff with a cambium saver, maybe two, just to give me a fast exit for a cuppa, and an easy way up,on eucs & the like I may double choke to ensure a good anchor. Am I wrong in this?
  20. Possible Spike, maybe a different material to change the friction properties? Next time I see you swinging around I will lend you the spiderjack, see what you think. Thanks for putting me up for the chip job.
