  4. I run a small echo topper, its had its had a tough life & loves it,no problems, thinking of trying the cs330t as above. If you want a powerful saw I would go with a 200t,or 201t,let the husky get a few mounths under its belt to prove itself,so far its all talk & prototypes, which in the field,as you know means nowt. Thats where this old boy puts his opinion.
  5. Not good, well done in standing your corner, you need felixthechopper with you,he's pug ugly & no one will go near him, even I have to squint if within 10 feet of him!
  6. You silly saussage, hope it knits up quick, looks sore!
  7. I will do. Me father being an old olympian compettitor has got a free ticket for 2 to the games over here, hope he can make it there.
  8. Glad you kept your kit intact, and thanks for the heads up,a mate of mine had an agressive theft carried out in Danbury last week, dont know what the motor details were. All my kit goes int the job with me,chain & lock through the handles of the saws etc on exposed jobs.
  9. Just got in from a long one today, this has put a big smile on my mush. very good, you couldn't make it up!

  12. That looks neat, quick tip,get a spot weld on a bolt/nut end on the winch to bumper & bumper to chassis,or it will likely get nicked.

  16. Channel 5 'how do they do it', on now (7.30 pm),after the plane bit they examine the engineering behind a modern chainsaw, might be a crock of,but you might want to while away half an hour.

    Honda CRF100

2 stroke mx bikes tend to be all top end power, designed to accelerate hard at the higher rev range, which can make them a handfull, honda made a cracking bike for off road, the xr100,found a few on fleebay to look at,and they are on utube to see what they sound like, its a four stroke engine, reasonably quiet & lots of fun. Honda XR100 kids MOTOCROSS | eBay Honda XR100 2003 off road bike | eBay Gives you something to think about,& they hold their money well enough.

    Honda CRF100

I would get along to an off road bike dealer,or a motocross practice track & have a chat, the full on motocross bikes are by nature a race machine, and imo a bit full on to let your boy start on,more so if blatting about round a farm. Back when my nephew wanted to learn I got him a honda xr100 four stroke & he loved it,it was bombproof, fun & relatively safe without being too noisy. I dont know what is available nowadays, but would have thought a two stroke mx bike a bit too zippy to start out on.
