  8. Have to agree,bloody good tyres at any price,will be getting another set when mine eventualy wear out,Im off road all winter on them,often towing 3.5 ton, they are tough & tenacious tyres.
  9. A lot depends on the stem diameter in the first few feet,if they are single stem under 6 inch down low they will be out in no time,put a day on it & work out what you want for that,good learning process.

  11. Depends how old they are & how they hane been maintained,but you should get them stripped to poles then grub & winch them out easy enough,pics would help,but if they are as I imagine,with chaisaw axe & just rope you will get them in a day easy.

  13. I'm running cooper discoverer stt 's the last 20 though miles,they are holding up well,good on road & off too.
  14. When you fit the new bearings,if they are a tight fit on the shaft,get the shaft in the freezer for a good while,(& wipe off any condensation when you remove it),& have the bearings warmed nicely on a radiator,makes it a bit easier to get them on due to expansion & contraction.
  15. If your hands are going numb,I would get it checked out mate,even just for peace of mind.

    Sounds a bit like flu,keep up the liquid (water)intake & lemsip to ease symptoms,should ease off after the weekend. Hope you feel a bit better soon.

  18. Routine silky nicks on left limb,bit of a nasty bite from a hedgetrimmer on my right arm,(),other than that all good.
  19. Drink a bottle of prune juice before work & I garantee it will never hapen again.........you just plain wont m,ake it as far as the toilet in the first place,worked for me! Biggest gripe for me is dealing with the odd awkward/ignorant client.
  20. Its all about a policy created by the manufacturer,stihl in this case,the supliers have no choice but to go along with it,(I think husky are doing the same),why would a dealer jeapordise his franchise by not complying with the manufacturers stipulations?

Take each tree on its merits/faults,a euc is no worse that most if its a sound tree,check your unions & look at the structure on the ground & when in the tree,get familiar with VTA,(visual tree assesment),the pitfalls are there to see generaly & its a climbers lot to be familiar with what to look for.
