  1. Keep on at it & you will be fine.
  2. I wouldn't worry mate, judging by your avatar you are the epitome of virility!
  3. Good advice,a solid old fourtak is a viable motor, very capable tools.
  4. A good solid set of 'high heels' might help here then, they could help trade on my alternative sugestion too if all else fails:laugh1:
  5. Great fun on a breezy day, take the kids downwind of a nice old tree,& get them to catch a falling leaf before it reaches the ground, they love it,& its good luck to keep the leaf until you do it again the next year. Fantastic action photo oportunities too of the wee mites scampering around with their arms out, looking up at the miraid of oncoming targets!
  6. Certainly a good ash build up at the base of that fire!
  7. Nicely put Matt, great way to bump the thread,& very timely too.
  8. ,bit too far south for me.
  9. I have one of those 'billy goat' leaf collectors if you need it Mr Felix, saves a lot of raking!
  10. Ahh its that time of year to enjoy a good brash fire, great pics Matt, love the sunlight in the last image.
  11. I can split 100's rings without feeling knackered. Get yourself down to Brighton on a saturday night, you could earn a fortune!
  12. VERY fair comment! Thats why he gets called Smudger from time to time!
  13. Easy one Mark,I do it a lot, just make sure you strike down with the sharp end of the axe & dont get confused in your efforts resulting in using the blessed thing as a hammer. These slip ups do come with age....
  14. I can only vouch for the truth in that (regarding your kit)! All takes up about 68% of a landy cab's volume,& 31% in volatile gasses,(admittedly the later is sporadic),otherwise I would sugest a suzuki jimney like mine.

    Motocross

I did a bit,mx, hare & hounds & enduro, western beach race one year, loved the crackle of a cr500 in the morning, mostly getting spat off & run over at the first bend! had a few mx bikes over the years,a ktm300 exc was a nice thing too.
  16. Thats a tough one mate, hope your not too knocked about, got a mate who deals in import 4x4s,just given him a bell & he will look about to see if he has anything to fit the bill, will give you a call tomorrow anyway.
  17. I would just do the job, just take care not to damage anything.
  18. Glad you got away relatively unhurt, quick thinking!
  19. Dunno mate, maybe we will get a better understanding when the saws are colected...
  20. If you have a guy in a motor with saws etc in it giving it 'its my brothers kit',a good thinking cop is going to give it a spin, too many reasons not to,& glad they aparently do,could have been anyones kit off of here on its way to a new 'home',& had it been those complaining now would have been jubilant at the efforts of the vigilant cop.
  21. Its a longer version of the 110,similar to the hi cap(a 110, with a 3.5 ton gross weight). The tipping body on mine is about 6foot 4inch by 8foot4inch,and will hold about 4 cubic metres of chip, payload of about 1.4ton. A 110 has a wheelbase of about 110 inches, the 130 is about 130 inches,it makes a fair difference in load distribution in reality.
  22. Its a tough trade to get into from the bottom at the moment,cs30/31 is a start, being legal to tow & drive, with a clean license & maybe some trade related first aid tickets would make you a more interesting prospect to a potential employer. Climbing tickets are a start too,but experience is the key to getting employed,or making a go of it. In your circumstances I would stick with the money earner you have, try & get yourself in with some local arbs for a bit of weekend work helping out,you can learn a lot by just being there,& pick up some money to help with the qualifications,as well as getting yourself known in the right circles. Good luck in it,& if you want it you will find a way.
  23. Fair point, especialy if he is driving in town of a night time, for all the police know they could be stolen goods.
  24. With the 130 its a 3.5 ton motor the same as a transit or similar,so no disadvantages there, you can get a good days work on there if you are doing light work / reductions, but on a decent take down it is limited just like the rest in the weight category.
  25. Same here,I work for several schools,& they just phone when they want small works done,& the area manager calls if its larger works that require undertaking.
