  1. I have a barbadian lass working for me as a groundie, very good too.
  2. Just a quick heads up. Predator is off line for a while as he has lost his landline & internet,he wishes to thank everyone for their help on here & will be back as soon as he can get an internet service sorted out.
  3. Timberwolf tw125,a superb little chipper, same bearings as the big brother tw150,but they are under stressed on the 125,so keep the blades sharp & it will just keep on going. Fuel will cost about £1.25/cubic M of chip, depending how you use your chipper, mine gets put on tickover at any oportunity that will extend beyond about a minute,I have seen a lot of people that leave a chipper running fast & not getting worked,I dont get that.
  4. Any more than a 14 inch bar,& your better off getting a 346xp or the like up there,I have never fitted a 16 inch to a top handle saw,so I'm spouting blind, but I would rather a saw with the guts to let you chase a cut if you need to,especialy on big stuff,or speed up the work chogging down without over stressing your main climbing saw.

    afghanistan

Tough one to answer, history puts a dull outlook on any thought out conclusion,& we only get to judge on the info we get over here. It would be lovely to think we have & will make a positive contribution to the calming of the troubles enveloping the area,& also to take the anger & turmoil that aflicts those living there & elswhere from the equasion. I do feel that blood will be spilt for many years to come,if its theirs after we slowly pull out it will fade from our vision,if it continues to be ours then it will continue to be a focal point. I wonder to what extent the average Russian is still interested in such things now time has faded their excursions into the area...
  6. It would possibly root, then if it survived in the ideal environment throw suckers up from the new root system.
  7. That looks a nasty climb,I had an easy day maintaining my saws, sanding down & oiling my truck sides,& whilst 'treading water' done £1100 on a very nice 1.5 ton digger I have had my eyes on for a few years,so a bargain gained after a vulture's wait.
  8. I trust it all goes well for you,& a speedy recovery too.
  9. Great tip,& good of you to post it.
  10. That cracked me up Stephen, very clever humour.
  11. Picked up my 200t from Spud after he modded it gently for me,I could do with giving the chain a brush over with the file, but it deffo holds its revs better in the cut, heres a short vid,the first saw is my standard 200 (with a new chain),the second the ported one. The vid does not do it justice, its got more go in the mid range for sure. Thanks Spud:thumbup1: MVI_0001 | Flickr - Photo Sharing!
  12. Thats a beauty,Liking the hazel walking stick idea.
  13. Thats all good positive news Predator,& getting those bills under control will take a lot of pressure out of the equation.
  14. Ive been meaning to get the place exorcised for a while now,but I think your dance might have done the trick. Was funny, the dog ran out the door looking over his shoulder all the way. No damage done that I can see,but my new neighbor tells me that there was a bit of crashing & bumping going on for a while.
  15. I tried to do Stephen's dance last night & the dog would not come back in the house for a full half hour,so I think a bit more practice is needed..
  16. 7.30 in the morning, where did this thread come from? Anyone know how to kill a peroni hangover?
  17. I'm going to take Hucks advise, after Iv'e walked the mutt, but your wrong on two counts mate; Cross Keys. & gout in my left big toe.
  18. Good advise,I shall take it.
  19. ,well got home tonight after a few,& did my first self portraits for the hell of it. Now it gets a little bit,erm self indulgent,so rip me to bits tell me I look my age,(52). I tried to be artistic with the second pic! All for a laugh & a shock factor... IMG_0008 by geoff321, on Flickr IMG_0003_2 by geoff321, on Flickr

  21. Lovely big tree,& some great looking chip there, nice work.
  22. Had a great day, used most of my kit,the mewp,200t,346xp,ms460,& finished off with the 3120,(the blower doesn't get a mention),& got to shift on site about 8ton of pop rings, nice easy day tomorow reducing a reasonable sized willow, then back in the basket for a 'can you just' which actually pays & wraps up the week nicely. I took a little swing about ten days ago & got a nice stab in the back puncture wound from a dead branch/sprag,& today it was not giving me gip. Then reading the posts on this thread with a belly full of grub, job done, off to bed a happy chappy. & the sun shone all day long!!
  23. Thats bad news, there are not a lot of these machines out there,I hope that helps geting it back.
  24. I would go covert Mark after the old neck gyrating video,or they may have your guts for garters,
  25. Nasty looking tree to work on Mark,I reckon you got some extra brownie points from that.
