    Dakar 2014

Coverage starts tonight, looks good. Some really tough stages (aren't there always)! :) Anyone else following it?
  5. Helps but slip of the stump? I quite like it, i think it may reduce the amount of wobble on the trunk when climbing, but my be wrong:) Give it a go and see what you think:thumbup:
  6. I may be interested and have other skills that may be useful such as planning, project management, logistic etc. Let me know if you're interested, lots to consider.
  7. Mine was new in November, I might mention it to the dealer I got it from. Is there anyone from Husqvarna on this site?
  8. Hi, I've had exactly the same on my brand new 372xp (genuine husq) I just don't use decomp. I'd be interested to hear what huqvarna say. Otherwise it is great:)
  9. Bump. This time for Forest of Dean area - pedestrian flail mower required in early Jan. Thanks Mark
  10. I used to work with a guy called Douglas Douglas, the REME called him D squared:D
  11. Could be good marketing after all you'll be going so slow everyone will see it (we were overtaken by a cyclist going up hill during the fire strikes):cool:p. If you plan on lots of domestic work I'd forget it, you'll be knacker after parking it! That being said if the price is right would be a good project, but you will still need another vehicle...
  12. I've got one I use as a rear view mirror because my chip box is quite wide. I just got the camera and monitor from eBay,mid price range. Wouldn't be without it. But you need a monitor you can dim for nighttime use. Easy to fit and you can see if there is anyone trying to nick a saw out of the back at traffic lights:)
  13. Also had this on 300tdi, so a good place to start.
  14. Oh if that makes no sense, have a few beers - that's what I did before I wrote it:beer::beer:
  15. William, I was in your shoes a year ago and now my business is going well. You will get lots of opinions on here, soak them up compare them then apply them to your circumstances, apply gut feeling and hand over cash. But from my experience, if found TW poorly made, but generally liked by owner operators, but a pile of junk at 4k second hand, Jenson was well made, bit heavier but expensive and could find much else within my 4k price range, that looked like it had any work left in it at the time. I actually brought a Tp200 (after taking advice from here). Bloodly good move, its paid for itself about 3 times this year! Love it, unless we're hand balling it! What I've learnt? Well, if you can tow it don't mess around with a 6" chipper, I will only replace mine with an 8"+ tracked chipper (but I could well use smaller on cs 100 type). Think about the maintenance cost Tp wanted £10 for a bolt:eek:, and I needed 12 of them - at least when its had its time it will be worth a fair bit in scrap:). In short look at less common\popular manufacturers and you may save some £s. But critically, try and I'd what your requirements are, I didn't, but got lucky . Good luck
  16. Cheers, pretty cheap, I also like the look of the smoke mine thing - loads you could do with that..
  17. Nothing last night, where. Do you get trip alarms and smoke canisters from? I'm going spend some time fortifying the place tomorrow.
  18. They didn't get anything this time and I've move it away for the time being. Bastards:mad:
  19. Right I've done what I can, not sure when they will be back, but I've told the police. Anyone know how long they tend to leave before returning? Cheers Mark
  20. I think they have been casing my place - obviously no details on here. My afternoons administration will now be spent defending the property. V v annoyed.
  21. When I was a lot younger we went bridge swinging in the Dales, it was awesome. We calls it day after 2 goes downing a can of Stella... wish we had head cams then:thumbup:

I was on that tour (fighting not remfing in Bastion) my last of many tours as an infantryman. What appears to be clea, he killed an injured man on the battlefield while under no kinetic pressure. That is murder. He is a trained experience SNCO, he knew better. I know how he felt I have been there but enemy casualties are to be treated in the same way as our own - its hard but those are our rules, the very rules that seperate us from the TB. No other servicemen seem to be doing this sort of thing, i expect many would love to though... I my view there is no cause for leniency, he was a professional soldier who made a serious mistake and got caught out. He has underminded his unit's, the RMs, and the British Armed Forces's reputation, in a conflict where reputation and influence are fundamental to avoiding outright failure. Tough times, but he should get what's coming - life unfortunately for him and lesson on OpSec.
  23. This really winds me up, why are we (society) so unable to do something about it. I keep my sword at the door and can get to my storage in seconds few... Anyway there must more we can do. But i can't think if what it is or how we can catch the buggers.
  24. Sounds just the job. Can't think of any other 4x4 of similar size without spending £££££. If i do change my LR130 it will be next tax year. I undoubtedly will have some questions:thumbup: My truck is orange so it will be awesome to see what your looks like. Cheers Mark
  25. How is your truck getting on now you've had it for a bit? I'm thinking of going down the same route. Any updates would be interesting...
