  1. Armor pruss lasts along time though so its not that expensive if you think how long it lasts and Op degarades in UV so isn't suitable for alot of roles where it isnt getting replaced regularly. But it isnt dyneema so i can understand your reservations, you do realise dyneema is just a brand name?
  2. what ben said works really well, double wrapping your lanyard/pole belt/flipline can help on smoother poles, when it gets really horizontal get ready to ride the horse!
  3. urine works really well.......smells though
  4. Platinum is only 10.5mm so pretty thin to be working with, Kernmaster is good as i sCougar blue and samson vortex, they are all pretty static its more on what thickness you prefer.
  5. Don't think it's that hard to pour fuel and oil in a saw without messing up, it's odd that you criticise a product down to something that is user error, considering it was user error when you damaged that chipper yeah you weren't trained in using it but that to me means you shouldn't be using it. So if someone's using a saw or refueling it and isn't trained to fill it properly then it's not the saws fault if someone messes it up. Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  6. Pfanner have just released some new Waterproof trousers that are pretty smart not cheap though. Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  7. I would just practice not much else you can do, don't feel that there is a time limit when it comes to learning some people take to tree work incredibly quickly. I feel that what i imagine may happen Is alot worse than what will if the situation was to turn sour. Good rope angles and work positioning will help build confidence big trees arent any more dangerous just more tiring you can die falling ten ft or 100ft. Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  8. Depending on the weather i usually wear a baselayer with a t-shirt when its cold, i either wear a vest or a t-shirt when its hot, i have some of the stretch air shirts on the way which im looking forward to trying out.
  9. My helmet normally gets thrown, i try to avoid throwing expensive stuff around. Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  10. Tree amigos is a firm in Melbourne, met a bloke in Qld who had it written into his employees contract that they had to wave at all other tree companies. Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  11. If your trying something similar in the future, place a pulley above your hitch with a long rope tail so you can pull on that to release your hitch or install a back up line next to you Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  12. and it will just tend the hitch even higher.
  13. Maybe sirnick could send his down from Nsw to vic? Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2

  15. Be careful that the sling shot doesnt twist and smash you in the face. Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  16. There's no mechanical advantage thats the point, it's 1-1 there are numerous ways to ascend. Ascenders or at least a pantin is essential. You can set up a Rads system which gives you Ma but it's slow. Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  17. Two throwlines make life alot easier, i have tied a overhand knot a couple of inches above the bag and pinch that between my thumb and finger so its not cradled. Its all about the release in my opinion
  18. Double bagging helps. and as the other guys have said practice
  19. If your used to a dragon fly try a skylotec has rigid leg loops make it very comfortable and if your used to a seat it may work out for you Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  20. Be careful with dynamic line as it isn't heat resistant so be careful with rigging lines running over your lanyard. Spliced 10 mm friction chord works well in a cinch Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  21. "How do you get the rope up there some sort of pump?" Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  22. I know the quality is awful but found this on the tube Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  23. I stand corrected. Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
