  1. I find it easier to have left hand ascender to with footloop on my left foot, then pantin on my right foot. Small steps are key for most frogwalking setups to get the most efficiency as it stops you rocking back and forth.
  2. When you base anchor there's alot of rope in the system so if you fall there's all that rope to help absorb the force most truely static lines are so thin that climbing on them isn't easy so they aren't used for Srwp and tend to be used for access where you shouldn't be putting yourself in the position of a swing or fall. I use a snake anchor as its simple and easy to use. Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  3. Its bouncy but once your about a meter off the ground i tend not to notice it as much good rope ties knots super easy and runs nice struggeled to get a hitch to grab on it for a while as its a super smooth cover
  4. Cheers guys! Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  5. Hey guys thanks for liking the page we have just put up some photos have a look and give it a like cheers Ewan.
  6. Saw this on treebuzz
  7. Pull above the device/hitch and the rope falls through so there is no slack generated in the system, unlike when you have to tend the slack in order to tighten the system up
  8. Not christmas too F-ing cold its summer here so want to enjoy the weather hopefully back sometime in the new year around spring.
  9. Or you could just use it normally and get with the times Andy!.................... hope your well mate
  10. Why don't you use the veteran loop and tie it as a Prussik in the middle of the bridge or girth two short slings on the lower D's then have a maillion in the middle to clip into. Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  11. Saliva its free, works better on hardware than ropes Euc oil is good too.
  12. All are 13 mm but will squeeze a 14 in them Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  13. and people write it either Ddrt or Dbrt personal preference
  14. Hes has the HH thethered to him and then has a footloop also to stand down in i think you might have your system a little back to front? shouldnt it be HH thether to you, then a footloop running from the HH? Hes using a sterling chainreactor which has rated loops its a pretty handy bit of kit by the looks of it.
  15. Ddrt is doubled rope technique Drt is double rope technique, I.e two separate lines Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  16. I was more speaking regarding Ddrt options, a hitchclimber offers quick and easy adjustment of friction chord length and knot types, variation of karabiner s plus its easier to get hold of a hitchclimber and majority of systems can be used srt with a wrench. 17. I dont think the HH would be good for beginners as it doesn't offer the same variabiltiy as a Vt/distel etc pulley set up.
  18. One think i don't like about that setup is the fact your holding the rope above your hitch which is holding you up, in a weird situation you could slacken the hitch off and be in a sticky situation.
  19. Good to see people changing i used to be the same when i worked in the Uk, We work alot we may aswell enjoy it. Alot of people are negative about change and things they are unfamiliar with which isnt a good way to be.
  20. Know the history and if you question it just get rid of it it's only a couple of bucks for something your using day in and out that has your life on its hands no reason to be cheap. Petzl have a pdf about inspecting and maintaining gear on their website. Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk 2
  21. teuflburger tachyon is very static and firm in hand, the Newengland Tachyon is bouncier but feels alot nicer in hand, Poisen ivy is slightly larger and is fairly static i really like my hank of it.
  22. Ben runs a Uni and a wrench and a OAR so naturally any threads on SRWPing he gets involved, but no doubt he will get one soon! Theres a few things i dislike about this thats putting me off getting one but if people like it fair does!
  23. Just be careful Ed they can cause some silly mistakes to happen and you always say "nah it will swing past that......... Sh**t it didnt"
  24. Hes using it the wrong way round. The rubber should be facing towards the ground.
