  6. personally i will give a quote to anyone who wants one , yes they are looking for the cheapest price they can get but i dont know who elts im quoting against , i quote a fair price for a fair days work if i dont get so what , there will always be another job to quote . If im looking ata job and the client is not there then i will make sure that everything i want to say is down on the paper quote , at least that way they get a choice weather they wanna read it or just look at the figures at the bottom . I have been pleasently suprised on some jobs where i have got the job and was not the cheapest and mostly its because of the information and further advice that i can provide
  7. sadly Dean i think the reason that fors are shying away from making a 5 ton 4x4 transit tipper is because they still have not managed to get their new shape 3.5 ton tipper up to the job !!!!
  8. if i had 65 k i think i would be having it , in fact if i owned my house i would see if i could do a swap lol

  14. when i was at merrist wood back in 2003 we had a guy on the course called Alistar , he was 52 then and came from a background woking for an office company fixing photocoppiers , he smoked like a train but he got through the course , infact he bought a smokers throw bag just so that he could have a stop off on the way up the tree for a crafty fag ha ha ha ha ha
  15. i probably would go for the husky, but this is only personal preference . its high reving with plenty of grunt , also i find their shape makes then a little more comfortable to work with in a tree .
  16. not at all , i reckon england would possibly do a bit better with a popular bat willow is so old school lmao:laugh1: but being serious have you thought about speaking to anyone like contyboard ? i know of a couple firms that stack the timber that they dont really want in lengths and everytime they have an artic load in the yard a company called caber freight come and collect it as they use it to make compressed board for flat pack furnature etc . not sure if there is anyone like this near you but i would give it a go

  19. WELL- i should hae said firewood instead of logging , forestry , arb work , i was asking because it may be that one saw out preforms the other in that application Should i have also asked if it was soft wood or hardwood they were cutting up of felling etc:001_tt2:
  20. no no i didnt mean the cabstar i meant your log costume that you wear with 2 thousand flashing Led's
  21. most importantly what are you buying the saw for doing ? ie , logging, felling , forestry ??
  22. if youlike me are training 5-6 days a week with cardio days in betwene weight days then try interval training either on a bike or rower or even a cross trainer ie- row flat out for one min giving it your all then rest for 30 seconds , repeat this for 12-15 mins then alternate to another piece of cardio equipment - bike , rower or cross trainer and repeat the interval training again but thi time for betwene 10-12 mins , finnish this off with a run at a good -fast pace on the treadmill on an incline . Then finnish with some ab work - leg raises , weighted crunches, rusain twists and planks. that coupled with a good training programe will have you in good shape pretty quickly , So who fancies posting a coppy of their traning programe ?
  23. that load you took to st just was further than ten miles , more like 20 , and what made it worse was you took it all the way back to the yard again. Or what about the load you could not deliver so you took it via plymouth(from Helston) the next day ??? are you still delivering logs in that giant log outfit of yours ????
  24. you could always go into making cricket bats out of it lol
