  1. i see your point from every angle and agree with it BUT how do you go about educating the LA's, TO's and landowners ? i was working for a company who had the contract for Exeter city council , the possibilities for leaving standing dead wood were endles but no the council RA would not allow it in fact we were not even allowed to fell large sticks and leave them for habitat . Also this is where the locall planners should advocate this practise in situations where protected trees need to be felled .
  2. Plippy i totally agree with you , as much as it is a great idea to leave standing dead wood where possible it is not a practise that can be adopted in every green space, park, or public space , IMO let nature do its thing in locations where the interferance from us humans is kept to a minimum such as woods, forrests, country parks, FC commision set aside spaces etc etc .
  3. your making your point clearly but how do you intend to educate 90% of the british population ti your way of thinking ?? , i see exactly how risk adverse society has become and i much like you do not like it .
  4. i do agree with your points but ridiculously risk adverse socioty that we lie in agree , it is sad that we live in this culture but i would much rather take this into considdeation rather than foolishly think that by basing a decision on personall prefrence and it resulting in a legal battle . Down here in cornwall there is a country park in which there are plenty of mono's throughout the park in a woodland envioroment which is in my mind is grate as schools , colleges and universitys are using the area to educate school children and the colleges and uni can study the ecological and envioromental benefits .
  5. instead of bench press why not try ticep dips, i would give tricep dips a g0 , i can bench 95 kg (5 sets 6 reps ) which is just under my badyweight of 100 kg , however i can dipp just over my bodyweight at arround 120kg (5 sets of six) i personally think its well worth giving them a go , with regards to suplements i would look into something like Maximuscle cyclone - this is a suplement designed for muscle growth and is creatine based - i highly reccomend it
  6. but the other outlook is that if you fell the tree then you substantially lesss of a hazard than leaving a mono, personally i can see why the LA chose to remover the tree , im sure there were plenty of shap jaged edges from there the union failed - the coupled with children playing in close proximity to a standing hazard would lead me to the option of felling and maybe grimd the stupm out and re-plant with Quercus rubra or Acer rubrum , personally i love to see some nice autum collour in parks .
  7. i personally will try to get my money in a pleasent and polite manor for 2 weeks and then i start to appy pressure , if i still have not had any luck i will pop round and if needs be i will sit in there house all day and night if i have to or quite simply take goods to the value of , recently it was a wood chipper that i took and would not give back untill i had been paid in full
  8. thats interesting , i currently train 5-6 days a week - day 1 legs, 2 cardio and abs, 3 chest and back, 4 cardio and abs , 5 shoulders and arms , 6 cardio and abs ,7 day off before beasting my legs again
  9. whats wrong with chest and back on the same day ??
  10. it is certainly members only Bri, what a typing feckup !!!
  11. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha thats got to be the best typing error ever . i nearly spat my tea out
  12. Im training on a split day program , take for instance yesterday was chest and back , i find i get better results from supper setting ie- 5 sets of six bumbell chest press @36 kg a side with deadlifts @ 130-140kg in betwene . it is intense and you do suffer for the first few sessions but you will see results , also protein intake is important but most importantly you should get your carbs in before training , to aid with your training you could maybe try using Maximuscle Cyclone , i train using it for 3 months on 1 month off and if im totally honest it does help me as it allows me to train that bit harder and for longer .
  13. nope just 30,31 lol
  14. type A stretch airs dry well in front of the gas fire lol , i think my gas fire has been on more this summer than it was last winter
  15. well if your worried then take a groundy that can fell small trees , at least that way if you do get into trouble he can fell the tree but make sure he leaves a big hinge lol
  16. well at last i finally got a repy to my email and according to work ware the protector extreme is "not designed for tree surgery" and should only be used for forrestry , oh and acording to them they have only had a handfull of boots returned !! not how strange is it that all of the fault boots must have been worn by guys on here ?? lol i thing some one is trying to blow smoke !!! anyway i will wait to hear the verdict now that they have some pictures of the boots and will keep you all posted
  17. so back to the U20 - does anyone know of one being used in tree surgery yet ???
  18. great i wil be calling him tomorrow
  19. where abouts do you get your tyres from ? down here in cornwall its less than simple to get tyres for a mog
  20. Dave/Steve or anyone elts running a mog or has been running one i was wondering who and how much your paying for tyres , i have spoken to a local tyre firm who are normally really compettive told me they could only get Continentals in at 510 plus vat and the other was Frank at atkinsons who also would only suppy Continentals 440 plus vat . im running 445/70/24 any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
  21. some of us on here that own/opperate unimogs are actually interested in new products and developments within the unimog range , it does not mean that as owners we have more money than sense and neither does it allow someone who clearly has not owned or run a unimog the oppertunity to make that statment that you have made , i for one bought a unimog because it served a purpose and does what i need it to do and that is something that almost no there utility vehicle does . Now as far as i can see this thread started as an informative thread and not a slanging match so if you wouldnt mind not booring me with your unsubstanciated ramblings i would be over the moon
  22. very nice Huck !!! looks like a great setup you have .

  25. best i get sharpening the tynes on the rake then lol
