  5. Connaught have only liquidated the GM contracting arm of the company.... so unless you cut grass then no contracts up for grabs... also TUPE would apply on most LA contracts so you may inherit a real headache....

  7. Agree the CSCS is easy the CRO card with tree surgeon as occupation is the one you will want... assuming you are a quaified tree surgeon....

  10. Congratulations to you both.... Well done to your wife... I have Twin girls 2 and a half now and they are great... you have a few sleep deprived weeks ahead, but routine is everything and sleep at every given opportunity... I developed that skill quickly and pretending to be sound asleep even when your not (i had to master that one over time, but I managed somehow, now works a treat and the wife just gets on with it..)

    Ammonium sulphamate is sold a compost accelerante so is still available.. just not as a herbiside... so if you want to accelerate the composting of a stump then its just the ticket.....

We run Iveco eurocab.... good allrounder,,, not bad on grass and greenlanes too... cheap enough to maintain, tipper has a intergrated toolbox and full lenght ladder box good for pole saw extra cones and occational kit too. good (legal) load capacity even with a soild box section and sheet metal chip box....bomb proof....

  17. A tipping site would be ideal, and much appreciated and so would anyone with customers or clients who take woodchip free of charge... Just wanted to save karting it back up the M1 to tip off at our local centres who take it for fuel at high capacity power stations.... Any takers please let me know...... Its been a long time since we paid to dispose of good quality woodchip waste...
  18. We have a 2-3 tonne of woodchip (from mixed trees) that is available from a job we will be doing in the MK4 2EX area any takers. We will have a 7.5 tonne Iveco Tipping truck so will need adeqaute site access for a truck of this size. all free of charge

  21. We had one go last year in a simular situation working in the same area... 2 trucks parked up on main road chipping into one truck the other chipper chained to truck no 2. They bastards cut the lock and had it away mid afternoon in busy traffic... They were long gone before the crews even noticed......
  22. I thought this practice was a bit naughty... as it does not comply with PUWER?? I don't agree by the way and might just of been someone thinking aloud.. Does anyone know if it is in conflict with PUWER? Had heard of crane driveres refusing to lift persons into a tree/or above the tree to carry out dismantling even though its the safest option in some circumstances...
