  1. AEMG Ltd we are a national company..

We have been offered a substantial contract and need to increase our staffing levels as to date we have only been running small operations in the South Yorkshire area mainly through sub contract workers...

  2. Cheers Andy, I'll send you a full application form and Job Description via e-mail on Monday when I get back in the office.
  3. Your tutor is correct, but minimum level 3 with experience is crucial. also a good grounding in Arboricultural operations and a large helping of common sense is essential, this is my opinion anyway. You could degree MSc or diploma but without the rest is next to useless from my experience (on both sides of the fence)...

  5. I'm did not realise that Great Britain had a German speaking province...
  6. I'm in, i'm 6'3 and approx 90kg.. would like to get down to 84kg to help my climbing.. just turned 40 last week so be good to get back to a 32" waist and bein lighter should reduce wear and tear on the joints. Mr Bullman, Can you put a spreadsheet together or database that we can update weekly? free T-shirt to best overall performance based on waist size (fat boys) and % weight loss/gain.
  7. This is exactly what you need... just be mindful of proximity to water courses ect. prior to the application. If you have decent hard-standing then sell it for Biomass and or landscapingo. Can get a income stream. you will need to load a artic to make it work but local farmer may come for a couple of ££ every week to sort out your pile and load an artic for you,,, good luck,
  8. I've told you get a window for your shed and leave it open to dry it out a bit.... bit mean of the wife to send you there....
  9. I know what your saying my twins have led to many nights of minimal sleep... Always seem to cope with less but I love 8 Hrs sleep... Longest without sleep was 80 hrs.... few years ago now... only caffine and pro plus to see me through..
  10. I had all four done on my L200 a few years back... I had to park it at the bottom of my road as all the spaces near my house had been taken... One of the neighbours had done it as it was in his usual space.. my girlfriend at the time was a police woman but could do nothing without witnesses, wanted to smash the little scum bags head in and burn his house down but never did... I have realised that the world has lots of scum-bags in, but it also has lots of fantastic beautiful people in too, and they are the ones I prefer to spend time with.... let those hateful scum rot in there own misery....
  11. I would imagine that all the well braced trees that have been set up correctly/appropriately are mainly still intact. Also we have all seen tree with no defects or faults fail through no foreseeable reason, what makes a braced tree any different. Also once a tree has been braced is it on a upgraded surveying regime?
  12. Would a builder recommend builders sand when resurfacing? All the resurfacing works i have been involved in sharp sand was the only sand used as a base layer, Builders sand shifts and is prone to localised compaction so will not form a stable base, whereas sharp sand form a uniform stable base when compacted with a wacker plate. I also still think that the builders sand does wash out when wet, but not sure if this contains harmful salts that are detrimental to trees.
  13. I think she as trying the live long and prosper hand sign but failed, oh well, i forgive you Kate.... I'm no Royalist but I'd stand to attention for this little princess.
  14. Not one person has moaned about the long awaited summer weather... It was a simple thread to see what other people do to keep cool and fresh... and maybe pick up a few ideas to put in a toolbox talk... its nice to see people taking positive approach,
  15. Why do certain individuals always poo poo advise... The point of sharing experiences and learning from our fellow arborists is what this forum is all about... 'man up' is not really very constructive in terms of advise or support. The aim of the game is to stay strong, effective and therefore safe during your working life, so thanks to all you who have had some really sound input to this discussion.. to all the others I'd like to say 'man up' don't be scared to use your brain its not that difficult.... and it does't make you a lesser man to take advise and guidance from your fellow man/woman....
  16. Nice, put me down for a few goes prior to visiting the beer tent...
  17. Sound advice... i often see guys undertaking silky work in the uk in full ballistics as its their Uniform. I feel a change in mindset should be applied and as you suggest lowing risk is what is important,
