  1. Fancy a bit Axe throwing,,, see you there Steve,,, Is it open to novice throwers???
  2. Totally agree, Mr Humperdink was bad and its went downhill from there, luckily wife has gone to bed so TV is off and silence is golden,,,
  3. E-mail your concerns as they seem warranted, also cc you local councillor as that always rattles the right cages...
  4. Sounds like fun.... wife likes a good dance....
  5. I'm very worried that you recall those scenes.... Clearly in you top 10 movie moments..... Shower scene midnight express being your No 1....
  6. Like the advice.. type A is a real option in the hot weather and as you have pointed out its advisable to note it on your RA as a control. the early starts sounds good as long as your not outside a nutters window at 6.00am, who then comes out and tries to pull you out the trees for waking him up...
  7. I have an Underarmour vest and it was a blessing this morning..
  8. Is the urine a better coolant than plain old water? or do your reabsorb the lost salt in the pee via your scalp
  9. That's my plan tomorrow, Paddling pool BBQ and lounging around in my speedo's...,, Sorry for the graphic image...
  10. :angryfire: How are you all coping with the heat? Any tips? Out if interest how many of you have slipped on your front protection trousers? especially the climbers? I'll kick of with some simple ones... plenty of breaks keep hydrated (plenty of water, isotonic drinks if you sweat a lot like me) take you boots off when having breaks Stay in the shade when resting Air con full on Take some loose joggers or shorts to slip on at break time or for the ride home Be good to hear some unusual techniques espeically from those of you who work in hotter climbs...
  11. Hope you have raised a NCR regarding this incidence.. (Non-Conformity Report) Near miss.. nearly air spaded an idiot into small pieces (see what the Bruce makes of that..)
  12. That does not sound right!!! Request your evidence back or a copy of it and take it up with your local councillor, Also send a copy into crime-watch. Also look at civil action if you already know who the scumbag/s is/are.. No point in revenge attacks as you end up as low as the scum your dealing with but justice needs to be served... hope you get some if you push hard enough you may just get it... I don't know about the rest of you guys but as soon as the police find out you have insurance they seem to loose interest. Saying that years ago a local scum bag tree surgeon was running around with a stolen green-mech chipper, they put into the dealer for a service all serial numbers had been removed bar the one on the fly-wheel... the dealer called me and i called the police.. and guess what nothing...... They never recovered the chipper or made any arrests... This machine belong to a local charity and still they did nothing... gave up in the end as i'd moved on and nobody including the charity seemed that bothered...
  13. Twitter... apparantley... seach for people tweeting about tree surgery and problem trees ect. also facebook, google plus and linked-in... web page and an up to date blog on recent events... also recent storms have created a bit of fear so mail out to all the local schools hotels housing assosiactions ect always a good start, Get a working relationship with a local tree consultant/y and network... Offer your services as a sub contractor to bigger companies (feather and suffering season upon us) big up what your good at and any specialist kit or skills your team may have... Good luck Hope this helps
  14. Glendale rolled out using the green they use, as it reduced the vehicle theft to zero on one of the contacts (Nottingham or Northampton maybe) and had similar results on other contracts.. so with that in mind this will make the truck less desirable and more obvious then its worth a punt... not my cup of tea... bur I'm getting more conservative in my older years...
  15. to be honest its the lads under the tree (or below you in the tree) that would be better wearing a helmet as you or anything you dislodge will not be hitting your head but their's... if your planning some tarzan time a helmet is always usefull for those side impact moments ....:tongue_smilie:
