  1. I use a tractor mount thor 18 ton, I drop the bucket off onto a simple timber frame so it's tilted back, back tractor upto bucket fill it up and pick the bucket up and tip, works a treat but only any good if you have quick hitch bucket.

  5. It's 29 hp 4 cylinder, I run a 5 foot scrub mower behind it smashes 2 inch scrub no problem, you can get upto 45hp ish on similar size chassis if you need a bit more, it has enough power for my requirements.
  6. did bring some ash in a few winters ago and shed loads of wood boring beetles appeared and so did some holes in furniture and door frames, moved house shortly after. Ash seems particularly bad for this!:thumbdown:
  7. Yes she's a Landini, been faultless so far, then again only done 300hrs on it. The wood wasps were driving me nuts trying to skewer me, like a chinook hovering about.

I found the the large bearing cup wasn't machined deep enough, after having it re-machined at my local precision engineers I haven't had a bearing failure in 4 years, previous to this it was a frequent problem. Poss design fault with this part, worth checking. Sods law, bet the bearings will blow next week now I have tempted fate!!

  19. I did think about stop bars, but I suppose it only the same as using a gravity fed chipper?? Think if it took 10 inch timber and blew it into the back of yer tranny!

  23. Ok own up who got into the APF for free? Saw a few randomly parked cars handy for a legit through the woods for a sneaky side entrance, and plenty parked in the forest park car park walking with forestry journal plaggy bags!
