  1. Knock it down and replace with boat!!
  2. That's a good price, look the same as Saturn Machine Knives disc, I paid £55 + vat
  3. Ideal for a tea break, save lifting the cup to your cake hole!
  4. Love that chipper, handy after a bit of light pruning work!!
  5. Thanks for all your advise, it's primary purpose would be for my own use to assist with tree work, however as mentioned I like the sound of a bit of steady away gutter cleaning to help axtract value. Perhaps it will be more hastle than it's worth hiring it out without operator unless to people you know and trust? Nearest competion for tracked hire is about 25 miles away @ £140 per day inc delivery for a 15m tracked machine, which I think is reasonable, machines around here can be hard to get hold of just when you need it, my local hire shop with a nifty 12 metre is on just about permanent hire. Little more thought required.
  6. I am in the market for a tracked mewp, just wondering what the complications are for hiring such a machine out and insuring against loss, whats the cost of insurance and loler testing?
  7. Bet that teleporter felt that!
  8. Bet you feel like your hair and lungs have been concreted after a day with that power blower!
  9. That proves it, any idiot can fell a tree, bet they were straight out with shiny fresh NPTC's!!
  10. Don't see what the big deal is just use it! It's the first bit of PPE that I go for, if I had a choice over using Aspen or wearing chainsaw trousers, I would go for Aspen every time, you only get one chance with your health. Just buy it and use it, once you start you will realise how bad normal petrol fumes are and won't want to go back to normal pump fuel. Who cares it costs 3 times as much I'm going sawing in my underpants as long as get use Aspen!!
  11. Think using a spoon will be quicker:blushing:
  12. what an arrogant statement, good luck by the way. Brodie didn't say what the job was, he might be starting at Tesco night shifting next week!
  13. try this Simply Bearings Ltd ~ Oil Seals SKF FAG TIMKEN KOYO NTN NKE TRULOC Needle Rollers Taper Rollers Rod Ends Oilite Bushes Loose Balls O Rings Grease Plain Thrust
  14. on the husky ones which look the same there are three holes, one for combi spanner, file and tuning screw driver
  15. Comes with the Husky filler adapter to screw directly onto the aspen can.
  16. Don't go mad with cubic capacity, you will only over load, 3 M cube of wood chip can weigh 1000kg, so not point wasting your cash on extra materials and labour biulding a 6 cube box that you can't use!
  17. Perhaps you would need to get down rated so the GTW is 3500kg
  18. I have been using one of these for years, you can order from any Husky dealer. Environmental kit - Cans
  19. lighter fluid injection for instant lighting firewood!
  20. Think wet soil slows most grinders, more noticable on the hydaulic drive machines as you don't get the full engine torque.
  21. I've used them on a few hire machines and they seem to cut as well as any other, with the benefit of changing 4 tips in one go with one allen head bolt.
  22. May have a solution, get yourself a Hilux 2515kg gross fitted with light ally tipping body, pay load of around 900kg, leaving you with 985kg for your chipper getting you to the 3500kg max before a tacho is required! If you had a 750kg chipper that would leave you with 235kg to mount a box on the chipper to carry your tools.
  23. How old is it as some around three years ago came with dodgy carbs:confused1:
