  1. My landy is giving me 28.5 to the gallon on its holidays Best towing jeep I've had , and I've had a few
  2. I had a safetrak, fantastic machine!! Serious pulling in power !! Wish I'd kept it:(
  3. Not really balanced but an attempt
  4. Ha ha, no sympathy on this forum didums
  5. I bought the same as Steve, brilliant trailer, well thought out and very well built.
  6. Cheers guys, I'm ok. Kids are awaiting mine craft for x box so there good Might be a bit diferent when I go to plant her ashes beside Rudi in a few weeks. She was a kennel dog, so they aren't as attached I reckon.
  7. Sorry J, beyond Ullapool is bleak and takes 40 mins to cover 10 miles!!! Weather, who knows mate. Mull ferry will be about £70 return I think and your original plan sounds ok. Personally Obans just a one way bustle for ferry goers, I would give that a miss and head up Loch Lomond side, through Glencoe, to Fort William , cut through to Aviemore, do the Fenicular railway up Cairngorm, have lunch.that can be done from a 7 am start from Glasgow, if the weathers rubbish just put your foot down as its boring, but if the suns out and weathers good, take a picnic and make that trip take 3 days with a tent or B and B, the Drovers is a must on Loch Lomond side, digs are on site, breakys good and the pub cracking!! As long as you have an IPhone you'll be fine, what to do, weather at the touch of a button.
  8. Mate got a transit engine, made a frame, stuck a jerry can on for fuel on it, stuck it in reverse and job done!!! Love the jeep on the wall, that's ace!!
  9. Thanks guys, we're all good. My boys are young and don't really get it all tbh, they were upset when mummy came out crying from the vets. I didn't finish until 10pm tonight and they were still up chatting in bed, had a wee chat, tried to explain getting the ashes back, what they were etc, think I confused them even more. Then Stewy says, if we get 100 new puppies, there will be lots of kakas!!
  10. My wee Fox Terrier got put to sleep today. She was nearly 15. Could tell you 101 stories about her. Strange to think I had her over a third of my life. Have fun chasing rabbits in the sky KJ!! Aka The Shnoz!!!
  11. Wide awake here, last night of my holidays and I am now mentally sorting out all my stuff to pack, get ready, go home and jobs for next week. Now that I have typed this it's 1 less thing to think about
  12. Fine for girly limbs, big tough Scottish limbs you unclip. I climbed for years with an unclipped saw, you soon learn to hang on to it and do better cuts.
  13. Depends on species , time of year and size of limb aswell! On Big Beech I match the cuts. Birch it doesn't matter, same as green Elm, it's chewy and doesn't jump off. If sycamores in full leaf , look at it wrong and it can snap quick, but it can be hinge cut quickly and the leafs act as a big sail so lands flat if your awesomely skillfull or just lucky:) If your ever in doubt, unclip the saw..
  14. A cracking young Elm nestled in a pine forest .
  15. Hi Chris, really sorry the truck needed work done! Just aswell you got such a bargain !!!!! The joys of vehicles, onwards and upwards and it looks great with the body on it!! I am sure she will come into her own with future contracts!
  16. 2 kibillion squid!!! Couldn't get a camera big enough for the photo.
  17. Everything happens for a reason, you could of not dropped the saw, finished early and got hit by a bus skipping across the road to the bank. Get drunk , take tomorrow off and the world will still be there Thursday
  18. My dad used to really struggle for clothes years ago, he would get shors from America, 30 years ago they would be over a £100, now it's off the shelve. A like big guys, I got away with 6', I always wanted to be bigger though lol!
  19. There great, did a couple last year down the beach, shall try some tomorrow .
  20. My dads the same height, my mum used to extend his cutting trousers with old chords . Then he used to wear chaps and adjust them to suit. Big J is up at that height aswell, he will be up to date with makes.
  21. Nestled in a Scotspine forest at the foot of the Cairngorms, now. Moved camp this morning. This is the way to holiday big time !! Certainly years of towing and hitching trailers is a big advantage and a motor mover on the caravan makes it a doddle!!! 25 degrees in the sun. Off to the beach now, yes a sandy beach on the shores of a loch. Stunning!!
