  1. If its a good strong tractor, well looked after then IMO hrs don't count for much! I have seen 1 year old £60k tractors with 2000 hrs I wouldn't take as a present:sneaky2: I pay what it's worth to me, what jobs I can do with it in the time I would ship about, take time off to look at etc, I always prefer local, easy deals or long distance with folk I know and trust:thumbup1:

  5. First 1 I ever saw got tangled in my chest hair while sharpening a saw outside!! I jumped, screamed and ran away!! Came back and put it in a jar as it was stunned, my mate came over and told me what it was and I let it go. Real tree men run with jazz hands:biggrin:

  9. Only if you do it wrong:biggrin: At the top of a dead pole in the situation required for my parallel tapping of a little plastic wedge , i am are not trying to thump over a back leaner, just nudge something off balance.
  10. Wont pretend i watched all the video Reg. I put the wedge in parallel to the hinge, gives more lift and takes up less room in the cut. Oh and wobble back and forth to get momentum and nibble the hinge as I go:laugh1: Not at the heights your working at though:thumbup1:
  11. I was expecting something not as big:laugh1: Only you Dean would have a contraption like that:biggrin:

  21. My wife looks after me and the boys, I work to buy stuff. She was a midwife for a couple of years before getting preggers! She's a better cook
  22. Been there , done that , paid for breaky every day for months and years in some cases, gave bonuses, let them use kit and vehicles and most of them would come out a shop and never think to buy me a juice!!! Nights out, meals , bowling, currys. Even bought 1 a car once and another lad sorted his £32k worth of credit cards and gave him saws and hedge cutters and a friend gave him a van and I did all his trees at his house costing me £500. I gave the guys £80 bonus for 2 hours work ontop of their wages. Never heard from him again! Put 2 guys through chainsaw courses, 1 never came back to work and threatened me so I gave him money, the other chucked it soon after for another job! The more you give the less you get from my experience! You sound like an appreciative guy, you are a rare breed!! Ranty rant over!
