  1. Welcome aboard, looks like your sorted, for any reason fresh felled stuff is out. My brother is in Boat of Garten, he's RSPB, at the Osprey Centre .loads of contacts around your area for timber.
  2. I would love a job doing stuff like that! Mud, sludge and diggers in stunning locations.
  3. That looks awesome J!! Is it American built?
  4. She just pinned it down and didn't budge!! If the border got in it would of been carnage:biggrin:
  5. I spilled some tuna at the bottom of my rucksack, and didn't fancy trying to get it out. So I improvised
  6. Don't mirror your business on someone who isn't making money. Sub contracting to your competition should only be done if its very profitable for both parties. Using a skill set or machine that the other does not have and each party benefits.
  7. Do you know how much youmake for your business working for that rate with all the equipement above? To get anywhere in this game you need to be double that imo.
  8. I would think rollers turning, due to the rubber hang down bits.
  9. I have never had any probs with the 4 mix, they just sound like a bust helicopter. I think this thread needs the god title a little bit longer:biggrin:
  10. Seems to be a bit of confusion about this thread, it's Chris and Paul's thread. Not today's disaster thread guys:001_huh:
  11. It took me a few seconds to realise it was twisted metal and girders! I remember exactly where I was, topping a conifer hedge for £80. We didn't believe the guy who told us about it, when I got home my Mrs was watching it on telly! RIP to everyone who lost their lives and my heart felt sympathy to all who lost loved ones.
  12. Nice 1 John!! Barn doors are a worthwhile investment when you get time. I have jammed loads of timber under big back doors thinking, it will make it under:blushing:
  13. I moved you to the milling forum, welcome aboard.
  14. Nothing wrong with straight lines and things in their place. You would end up needing to poke it on with scaffy poles in the dark and rain, a nice oak framed fancy lean too off your nice wall with stable doors would be lovely. Fire up the Alaskan.
  15. We need some videos of the chipper killing gnarly stuff guys!
  16. I don't do Facebook, I like the pics though:thumbup1:
  17. Putting a bespoke cover over the chipper will be a pest imo Chris, especially with the spout. She deserves her on shed mate!
  18. Gordon take the advice and buy a Sawpod! I do most of my work with a silky and light trousers because of it! I used to hate fishing about, trying to get the saw back in the scabbard, hanging onto cut branches and generally messing about trying not to drop stuff! So I would do more close work with the top handle, and put myself at more risk or more chance of damaging small branches.
