  1. Do you think you'll have her done for Christmas Ross:biggrin:
  2. What was the rope attached to inside the window? Soured rope pulls up and locks, yellow rope slackens and drops? Very clever, I shall steal that idea 1 day:thumbup1:
  3. Make it more interesting, buy him a £15 splitting maul for the logs and a double headed throwing axe for fun:thumbup:
  4. I think this is down to the individual and their age. When I got my felling ticket at 19, I chucked my green keepers job and swaggered into the woods, with all the gear and no idea:001_rolleyes: I was almost in tears the first day and hated every other before I chucked it after 5 weeks:blushing: It took 3 years of the big bad world to toughen me up and when I got a shot at a real climbing job, I was under no illusions and I had wanted it so badly as i had felt so stupid for those inbetween years as I had had to return home with my tail between my legs. There will always be change in paperwork, that's the paperwork people doing there bit, the job will always be the same though,
  5. That was good, the 1 Ronnie at the end is quite sad. Took guts for Harry Enfield to do that.
  6. Mine was £80 about 6 years ago, I have lit it ontop of a mountain blowing a gail, I pressume mine is the fancy 1 you are swithering about. I forget about it for a year at a time, rinse it out andit ignites first time. I used a Kelly kettle once, what a pita!!
  7. It's a scooshy gun!!! Couple of old fuss pots
  8. I was shuddering before I saw the picture!!! That's brutal, heal quick!
  9. Nice Bump ! :thumbup1:Come on David show is the giant big bush:laugh1:
  10. I'd kick his back side for not just felling that high to avoid the shrubs and chipping it in a oner! I'd laugh if they jammed up the bandit with those silly wee chunks , that angled flywheel just loves small pine:001_rolleyes:
  11. I did that years ago, then I bought the alloy screw in 1 and damaged the piston on my 88, now I don't touch those kind of things:blushing: Good luck
  12. You need to either climb quicker or cut bigger then!
  13. Come on Eddie, keep up! It's not just bickering and squabbling on here, it's actually quite useful to keep up to date with all things current in the Arb world:biggrin:
  14. Just aswell there was a bucket truck and an 18" chipper!
  15. It's better to Benny Hill Music:biggrin:
  16. I liked that, cracking day for it:thumbup1:
  17. That was very nice to watch, I now want to have your life. I am nearly 40, have young sons and would like a way of life and to build a future for them, not just me climbing trees and going to work and checking my bank balance every day letting the numbers make the desicions. Thanks for posting:001_smile:
  18. I think it's 2 silver birch planted together.
  19. Surely you have lots of young fit scouts who could all grab a rake and it wouldn't take long. Bottom line, the art of leave collection is far from simple. On a crisp autumn morning with the sun in the sky, a leaf blower will work a treat, especially a big petrol 1. If its a dry crisp autumn morning, everyone will be fighting over the ghost busters gadget, mand leaf collection is fun. Now add moisture, rain! They get soggy and wet, they get heavy, they don't like to leave the comfort of the grass, neither do the volunteers. So,let's look at the mechanical wheeled option, in the rain or after rain, the field will be wet and unless your wheeled option was about £50k with wide grassland tyres, it's going to get chewed up. Bottom bottom line with big areas of grass and leaves, many hands make light work:thumbup:
