  1. Nothing profound there. Even I could have penned something similar:001_smile:
  2. Seemingly none in the IOM, Scillies, Channel Islands or the Scottish Islands.
  3. Did some work in Scotland years ago and there was a guy using a Fordson on tracks for extraction.
  4. Is the ergot on ryegrass and does it have any effect to grazing animals?
  5. Bart Simpson coronets:001_smile:
  6. True but he may employ them to run his estate as he hasn't the time or knowledge to do so. If that's the case there may be a job coming up:001_smile:
  7. There's no way of knowing if he had knowledge of what was going on. It may have been instigated by an estate manager, head keeper etc. That's not to say it's right but he will be carrying the can maybe for his employees actions,
  8. My sister and I had a pet one. It was called Prick. Made the grown ups laugh for some reason
  9. The mites themselves are very small. Less than 0.5mm I think. Did the bug pictured emerge from one of the blisters?

So he's got a factory bike now. His impatience has paid off! All the best Mr Crutchlow. I hope you make it work.
  11. Can you swap the hose over temporarily to test it. That would rule out the ram?
  12. It's a lovely box. I would hazard a guess at.....£400
  13. No. It will get a proper one but I was dying to use it:001_smile:
  14. Well new to me. On sunday it was a lump of rust in an old shed. Dipped it in electrolysis bucket for a few hours and came out rust free. Don't laugh at the handle:001_smile: Made from a piece of bent ash and finished quickly. It falls just right for me with that bend.
  15. That's the cross. Don't know where I got balsamifera from:001_smile:
  16. Looks typical of tt32. Hybrid of balsamifera and trichocarpa (sp).
  17. Graham

    why?

    Yes. Was the stem cankered?
  18. Graham

    why?

It's Populus x candicans Aurora. An ornamental commonly grown n gardens. If you prune it hard it will produce large variegated leaves tinged with pink. All the ones I've seen have been riddled with canker so presuming it's not a resistant hybrid.
  19. Graham

    why?

It's 'Candicans'. A cultivar. That's what they look like. Prone to canker.
  20. Graham

    why?

    Have they disappeared:001_smile:
  21. Used to be my favourite go to saw in its day. Mine didn't have a brake. Got squashed felling chestnuts.
  22. Nice. Husky used to demo one of their saws with an expansion chamber on it years ago at the APF.
  23. Definitely gatekeepers on their favourite flowers.
