  4. Is that an atlas trailer steve? How you finding it?
  5. Landrovers already been sold mate, im getting a van as i also do motocross so it will help me out with getting my bike to tracks. I only do logs on the side, I work 2 days a week and go to college for 3 days. Busy busy busy! lol
  6. My dad had them kicking around for ages, and when i decided to sell logs they were perfect. Ours are old onion boxes, some had new zealend stickers on them so were well travelled! I started logs at the age of 16, i cut my own trees down, split and seasoned them then sold them in these crates. Then forklifted them into the back of my dads van and he would drive me around to customers for me to unload them, id give him £10 for every one i sold. He has a renault master van with custom body, you can fit 3 of these crates full of logs in the back, so i used to to fill it up and then deliver 3 deliveries at a time. One year on when i turned 17 i was able to buy, modify and insure my landrover. Logs sold like hot cakes! Im now 19, looking for my own van to carry on doing this. There you go guys, my life story
  7. I sell my logs in those exact same boxes! i have been charging £70 for mixed ash and oak, but prices will be going up next year. There great if you have a forklift to move them around.
  8. Cool! Wanna give that a go when i get chance. Whats the story behind the last pic?
  9. Nothing wrong with one handed sharpening IMO, i do it.
  10. Proper job, thats what the forums all about
  11. Just use the standard wooden stihl one, im not fussy. Lost the handle at work once so cut the end of a broom off and used that. Handles a handle..
  12. Unless she makes up 20% of your yearly income mate id be tempted to walk away. Sometimes it just isnt worth all the hassel and stress, the time spent arguing with her over money you could be out getting other jobs. Just my bit of input..
  13. Glad im not the only one who likes/appreciates good engenering, no matter how big or small the item
  14. Just man up and wear your arbtalk t-shirt
  15. Missed it, gonna watch it on channel 4+1 now though!
  16. Cool What sort of weight can it lift?
  17. As cts said, i have heard good things about SHB 4x4 hire. But as im a landrover man, i would always recommend a landrover for any type of towing.
  18. Looks abit suspect if you ask me? What was it honey brothers had stolen back along...
  19. Nice! I quite fancy the forestry life, might look into it after college.
  20. Would 100m of rope not sag to much over that length, even with it tensioned. Would you not think steel wirerope to be better, although probably alot more expensive lol
  21. Thats real cool mate! What do you usually use the crane for?
  22. Have you tried jonsie on here from f.r jones? Hes pretty helpfull and im sure he would be able to help you track some down.
  23. Put some ratchet straps around the tree. Poplar will cut like butter with a sharp saw so as the tree starts to go keep cutting.
