  4. Fairplay mate, we had a small gravity fed machine at work and tried to go the way you have with getting people to keep there chip etc... But it only had one job in 12months so it was sold.
  5. When we had all the snow i towed the fuel lorry down the lane to my house with my landrover so we could get some fuel to the heaters. Then towed back up the lane, and up the hill to the main road. He laughed at me when i got my tow strap out and said i was gonna tow him. He was amazed when i pulled him, i miss my landrover
  6. Love the disco 3's, pull like a train, comphy as hell and still cracking off road. The traction control system in them is very good.
  7. Cheers for your input guys, ive only just turned 19 so i want to look after myself if i can. Going to look for some decent gloves, and just try to change the way i dig everynow and again.
  8. Yh we got one of these mate, they are good for digging in crap ground. I guess its more of a repetative strain injury, as were also knocking in support posts and that aswell, so switching between shuvel, spades, iron bars, rabbiting spade, sledge hammer etc...
  9. Cheers mate, should have said i have been wearing gloves. But there thinish ones to help with grip, like some climbers wear. I do have a pair of husky chainsaw gloves so might give them ago
  10. Tell me about it!!! Tried talking my boss into it but no luck.
  11. Doing a big tree planting job at the moment, the ground is full of crushed builders rubble and the tree pits are a nightmare to dig, each hole is about 2ft across and 2ft deep. After 2 days of digging the palm of my hands and my wrists were in agony, i put it down the the impact that goes through my hand when im digging the spade/ironbar into the ground and hitting rubble. Was struggling to hold my dinner plate the pain was that bad So basically are there any gloves out there that offer any kind of impact protection, or do you guys think im "barking up the wrong tree" in thinking its the impact causing the pain in my hands?
  12. Nice and simple, does the job. Should really try out some new knots and techniques tbh, but im not gonna rock up to work messing about with new knots, trying to get them right when im being payed to do a job. Once the sun makes an aperance i need to go on some more rec climbs
  13. I would of thought it would be possible. Not wanting to hijack your thread or anything but how do you and others rate the vito? Looking at buying one myself.

I havnt come across as acident but i know i would stop, also on the first aid front, i am first aid trained through st johns and as part of that qualification you are insured which could be useful! What annoys me is people around my age 16-20 not helping old people. I have been stood at the bus station before now at college kicking out times and a old biddy had fallen over, people were just looking at her and not helping her up even though she was obviously trying to stand up and was unable to.
  18. My dad used to be with them, they were very helpful with legal advice, tax, wages blah blah which was good when he was starting up. But now hes got his insurance with NFU and there very helpful with everything to, so hes not with FSB anymore but cant fault NFU with the help hes recived.
  19. Depending how hard he works id say £60-80. Hmm now ive said that its making me think i dont get paid enough, ohwell!
