  4. Hey all! Ive got a mate, who is a fellow tree surgeon, traveling out to new zealend for a few months in may. Hes looking for abit of work to help tide him over, said id just pop something on here for him to see if any of you NZ guys know of anything? Cheers
  5. Theres normally an under lying problem somewhere. Stress is a big one. I suffered abit a while ago when times were getting tough.
  6. Wouldnt use one on a takedown as id just spike up, would use one on pruning jobs though were i cant wear spikes, just to access the first branch. Thats unless i can throw a rope to the first branch. (dont own a throwline)
  7. When i first had my landrover someone had put there car in the ditch down the lane by my house. He was obviolsy drunk at the time becasue he was fast asleep at the wheel in the morning when i found him there. I thought he was dead at first, anyway i told him it would cost him 20quid and i warned him that id proberly rip his bumper off, he was ok with that. So i made sure i ripped the bumper off
  8. That was the figure i had in mind, just waiting for the MOT repairs to be done, then get it re-tested and put up for sale. Its a shame but ohwell, i will own another one someday.
  9. Yh a snorkel would be a good addition, but my circumstances have changed and cant afford to run it. I have got the landy bug though and when im in full time work with some money under my belt i will get another one. What you think shes worth mate?
  10. Not that it helps, but i attach my 020 to my strop with a normal size crab and it dosnt cause any problems using a larger krab.
  11. Right guys and girls, im thinking about selling her, As a student shes getting abit expensive for me to run. So for those who have been following my highs and lows of landrover ownership on arbtalk, what do you think its worth? 12months MOT and rebuilt engine remember

  13. Yeh i recon, just mark the boundries and let people play! They will find and make there own routes Could prob charge them 10/20quid. You will get someone complain though, for whatever daft reason they can dream up
  14. Yep, pay and play days. Although you normally go to old quarries or something, pretty large areas. People will pay anything from £10-£100+ to have ago depending on the size of your off roading area

  16. You should be able to mate, speak to devon 4x4. Just watch breaking half shafts.

  19. Cheers guys, il try get hold of some dvds to! Is that something you have ever thought of doing reg? Putting together a "training" dvd of some kind, from the videos i have seen of you working your rigging always seems top notch!
  20. That will turn into some lovely firewood! Some of the hottest stuff ive burnt has been thorn.
