  1. those branches are probably as big as some of our big trees over here.
  2. Would a small tractor and winch not suit you better ? The main problem that i can see is that a small tracted dumper is small, and therefore not gong to be able to move much economically.
  3. Still trying to shift my £300 chipper blade voucher. Any takers ? PM with a sensible offer

  6. Woken at 1 to the sounds of someone trying to help themselves to the rota and grab on the forworder. At this point i though it was stolen. Had to wait 2 hours for the police to give a statment. 3 hours sleep then load up the trailer, as i pull away i look in the mirror only to see said rota and grab appear from under the trailer. What a......... I can not think of the words to discribe the relief. Managed to drag it into the workshop, off to work. Dismantled and re-built 280m of stock fencing, with sky larks singing, bumble bees flying, and peregrine falcons bonding by locking tallons and spiralling down. It has been a roller coaster of emotions today, quite day tomorrow please.
  7. I have BFG MT on the front, they will five years old this June, ans there is still a bit of life left in them. I have Kumho on the back, they give better grip, but they do not wear very well. The Kumho are 2.5 years old, and they have lost over half there rubber.
  8. Why not just cut of the bottom part of the plastic handle, it wont effect the structural integity, and wont cause the glazing on your rope. Are you sure that it is this that is causing the glazing ? Unless you are going for world records in accent surely you will not be generating enough friction and heat to cause the glazing ?
  9. Definitly a softwood, larch is a good bet. Shame we don't have smell o vision, as most of the soft woods have a distinctive smell.
  10. It is too low down, my back is aching just watching it. It needs some form of table on either side of the splitter so you are not having to keep picking logs off the floor.
  11. Not as short, no music, Camera not quite in the right position, but i did miss the fence.
  12. Stick them on the windscreen. Then place bets on how long they will take to dissolve. When they start to disolve, you can change the pattern by swerving the vehicle sharply. Good fun on long trips. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  14. Ere you go, just started ferrying in materials to start next week.
  15. Alder sells like hot cakes around here, on account of its ease to split, and quick time to season. I normally get between £35-40 per cube depending on diameter.
