  1. We need a clear definition of a plank, with relative positions of hands, feet etc
  2. Nah 18" with full chisel, it needs two people to hang on to it. Yee haa:D Sent from my Galaxy arse using tupping talk. Check ALL the simple things first.
  3. Nope the cones are purple. Sent from my Galaxy arse using tupping talk. Check ALL the simple things first.
  4. Forty cube so far, but due to the wet weather, and no shed to store in, i have run out of dry. Sent from my Galaxy arse using tupping talk. Check ALL the simple things first.
  5. From past experiences in dealing with angry locals for vandalising their woods, i would inform all relevant authorities, and get it in writing. So when people start shouting, you can dangle it in front of them. Then tell them to bog off, nicely of course.
  6. Nice job on the ceiling joist, if in doubt hack it out. It will fit, it will
  7. You will need to inform the council before you start, normally in writing. How much are you felling, make sure that you are felling less than 5m cube or you will need a felling licence.
  8. Is this why my battery is not charging ? Sent from my Galaxy arse using tuppising talk. Check ALL the simple things first.
  9. At a guess, times the volume by .7, which will give you an approx tonnage. What is wrong with volume ?
  10. Wait until autum, it will save you alot of hassle.
  11. Love to Jon, but stuff on this weekend, and it is a long way. Shame it is not on over half term, as i am visiting my mothers in South Somerset.
  12. That is one ugly lump. Judging by the large visable hole, you are not going to get a huge amount of useable timber.
  13. A crawler with a winch can not be beaten, they can turn on the spot which make alining the pull direction a doddle. Tracks also have a very light footprint, therefore mimimum ground distrubance. They are very stable as they have a low centre of gravity. For everthing forestry related they are a bag of poo. Get the lowdown from Porch Jon on here, he has both. Sent from my Galaxy arse using tupping talk. Check ALL the simple things first.
  14. You have planks of ash at the end of the day, you can not be doing too much wrong.
  15. Bring it up to west Wales, we have had none here.
  16. Because my chainsaw trousers are falling apart, and i ripped part of the arm off my waterproof, and i am already in trouble with my technical verifier for being tooo scruffy
  17. As some of you may be aware, i won £300 voucher from Rota Tec for chipper blades However i do not own a chipper So the £300 voucher is up for grabs for £250, and everything bidded over the £250 will be donated to the childrens trust. P.M. me your offers
  18. I did it for two years. They are only small once, and it will build a bond that will never be lost. The wife and i are still part time, which means that we are always skint, but it means we get to see out children grow up. I would not hesitate in doing it again.
  19. Water cress Sent from my Galaxy arse using tupping talk. Check ALL the simple things first.
  20. Have they finally excluded the sheep to allow some natural re-gen ? Very eyrie in the fog. Sent from my Galaxy arse using tupping talk. Check ALL the simple things first.
  21. Its not fair, there is no snow here Sent from my Galaxy arse using tupping talk. Check ALL the simple things first.
  22. A hearty soup, much to the annoyance of my groundie. Sent from my Galaxy arse using tupping talk. Check ALL the simple things first.
  23. I am fairly sure that the cyanide in Laural is not a stable compound. So as long as the wood has been split and seasoned, then the cyanide is no longer present in harmful amounts. It does make good firewood.
