  1. The trouble thar you are facing is you as a company has nothing to offer compared with existing companies. Tilhill and the F.C. have approved contractors so you are going to have to find out how to become one, which will cost you time and money. You will find it easier to start with approaching private land owners. You also need to find out where there are gaps in the market, and exploit these. Good luck
  2. What on earth do you do with that ?
  3. These have proved to be very comfey: 79X Mens Work Boots | Hard Wearing | Steel Toe Cap
  4. Done but the employer questions don't apply to the self employed. And i don't use one saw in the woods, it depends on the size of the trees i am felling.
  5. This will fit the bill, for the price i can not fault it. And it is easy to use. Drift HD 720 | Helmet Head Camera
  6. How long before the boredom sets in ?
  7. Ere that be cheap, i might have to get one. Cheap ratchet straps as well.
  8. The Zetor pulls the trailer fine, they seem to be ideally matched. The Zetor is about a ton heavier than yours, so i would not like to go down a muddy slope fully laden in yours. Rico make a 3 ton trailer with a similar crane, which might be a better match.
  9. The crane is a 3.8D, and the trailer is rated at 5 tons (i think), and it is made by Farma.
  10. You will be wanting something along these lines. Mine is pulled by the Zetor, which has 57 horses under the rusty flap that looks like a bonnet if you squint really hard.
  11. Its wild here, enjoying a nice cupatea. Bob is enjoying himself out side, loiks like he has found some lady dog wee to sample.
  12. Don't go dissing the Sycamore. It produces good firewood quickly, It harbours loads of aphids that feed a lots of hungry birds. Yes it can be a bit unruley, but the positives outway the negatives.
  13. I can understand what you are saying......... That means you are not using enough latin and long technical terms. C- , must try harder.
  14. Currently fisa only have 5 trainers and they are all up north. Helpfull
  15. Perry brothers at Dowlish Wake also produce some mighty fine cider. Also not far from the A303
  16. Bang on felling Reg.
  17. They have been trying to ban top handled saws for as long as i have been climbing trees.
  18. I will find out the model tomorrow, and he wants genuine parts.
  19. Clyne valley has some good trees to climb, also some very scary bike tracks/ jumps.
  20. Here lies the problem. As someone who employs people to fell comercially people with tickets and no experience can not fell trees safely. As an instructor there is only so much that i can teach in a week. Added to this the commercial pressures to get it done as quickly and as cheaply as possible....... Do you wonder why we work in an industry with such high accidents and deaths. The solution is simple, pay people days rates to that they do not have to rush and cut corners.
  21. The bloke next door needs a new pot and piston for his Jonsreed saw. I can not find anything locally, where next ?
  22. I am still none the wiser for the soft dutchman, and i am intreged. Can you supply a step by step photo or video guide.
  23. It is probably quicker for you to get to north Wales than me. Go on you know you want to.
  24. In picture one you have to undercut up to the blackline, and then cut down to meet, points are deducted for every millimeter not meeting up, and for every degree outside 90 degrees right angle. You also have to cross cut a log with the bottom 30mm buried in sawdust, points are deducted for every mill left uncut. Bar and chain change against the clock And finnally fell and sned against the clock
  25. They are huge. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSz_iGxUQwQ]The chainsaw guy log testing Homelite Super 650 chainsaw 2 22.AVI - YouTube[/ame]
