  1. Let us know how you go with it mate. I like the look of it.
  2. Smash, bash, crash, gimmee the Kroner! Very impressive mate.
  3. Agree there Difflock, most of my mates are pretty handy at a vast variety of jobs. These lads purely f'd up though. Why he had the pallet forks on I don't know. Inexperience probably. There's a fine line between a 'can do' attitude and being out your depth, mind.

    Own Up!?!

Is it better to have a lass with no head than no lass?
  5. What annoys me is that Stihl could be fantastic but just can't be bothered anymore. They remind me of Tyson just before James Douglas knocked him on his arse. Once untouchable, but became fat and lazy just taking the cash.
  6. Have they beefed up your leg muscles Matty? They look really well made, but they are proper chunky!
  7. I'd love to see the gob and back cut. Assuming there was one.... Those hicks will still be congratulating themselves on saving a couple of hundred quid. The repairs to the loader won't count because it will be on the farm account.
  8. Aye, good stuff Danavan. BIG tree too.
  9. He did mate, well spotted. They reckoned the machine was undamaged. None of us believe them....
  10. My mate back in Northumberland turned up at his brothers farm just in time to film some agricultural tree surgery. Apologies for God-awful film quality.[ame=http://youtube.com/watch?v=5rJBNjfvbEI]YouTube - ‪Loadall Tree Fail‬‏[/ame]
  11. I have invested in literally thousands of pounds worth of Stihl equipment over the years. Most of it has been excellent, apart from the clothing, which has always been scheisse. I have noticed a worrying trend over the last few years of not so much lower build quality, but cheaper component quality. Like Matty and others, I have experienced problems with my 4-mix 130. Overcomplicated engine? Yes. No wonder all the top Stihl guys at Jonesies/Gustharts/Honeys are all balding (Fact -check it out) - these lads have pulled their hair out trying to sort out Stihl machines. Stihls utter refusal to accept they should offer a better bar cover for their bigger saws speaks volumes to me. Vorsprung eis scheisse.

    TreeRise

Awesome Matt. Say Hi to the Gump for me, recently found some old shots of him and Ross tackling a massive (20m!) Beech together in Kent a few years back. The sunrise pics and tunes made me the happiest I've felt all week!
  13. Nice tip Lancstree. I sometimes think for the new lads that moving from a Prussick straight onto a VT/HC setup may be a bit, er, D A N G G E R O U S !
  14. Moot point Peter. Still worrying on a 24KN rated crab. Drew, you need to eat less pies bro....
  15. Best derail ever mate. Bellissimo!

    201 t

The extra weight is negligible (can anyone feel 100g in their big, hard, tree-killing, calloused paw?). Looks really good to me, but my concerns would be teething issues with a new saw. Like it or not, the 200T will be ILLEGAL after 2014, and anyone using one will be executed by EU death squads.
  17. You want three arms? Weirdo. Nice work.
  18. Stretch Air are indeed the Daddy, but they are stupidly priced. Hiflex are comfy and light but disintegrate when you look at them funny. Oregon Waiupos (sp) are worth a look, get a size larger than norm because they are quite form fitting! As always, try some on before you buy if possible. Search option has over a billion threads on trousers now!
