  1. No thanks necessary Ty, no, really. Your local mechanics will love your Deuxcheveau! Off to near Cahors next week, I'll see if I see anything that appeals over there. Navara, L200, Hilux, Ranger, Isuzu and Landys all seem to have issues depending who you talk to. Can't comment on the VW. Bon chance.
  2. I will spend the night sticking pins of an effigy of you tonight Johnny....
  3. We all know that bloke. Were you scared while you were doing the back cut Lorry?
  4. Couldn't resist! North Face do some top ladies stuff, but the brambleproofness is a bit suspect. Harry Hall do some riding jackets which may fit your bill.
  5. Been a while since I did that.... Sorry Janey, , my advice would be avoid the cheap crap and head for decent brands, without paying for name only. Swazi are very, very good, and Rupes Cotswold idea should give you plenty to look at. Rob Rainford - TKMaxx? You, Sir, will suffer a hideous alcoholic forfeit when I meet you at a show for that very suggestion. Good for pants, mind.
  6. Explain please Mr Haine. Wouldn't they make you climb round in circles?
  7. That's a big tree man. Impressive cankers too.
  8. Citroen 2CV pickup. Bulletproof. Do you need the load-bed Ty, or would you consider Discovery type closed vehicles?
  9. How much are the Ivecos? I can dream. That would tick all the boxes for me. I'd need a leg up into the cab, mind.
  10. Nice pics everyone. That Chestnut is Sweet as. John, talk us through taking off the big limb above the line. I get disco leg on trees like that!
  11. We'll go halfers mate! I fancy a set that spring out like a flick-knife blade at the touch of a button. I'm off down my shed with my AKU Crodas, a couple of springs and some 3 inch nails.
  12. Cheeky little sod! You better have a copy of The Beano tucked down the back of your shorts when I catch up with you.
  13. I'd say go for it Mark, but you need to cover your back with the plant. If the truck and chipper get wiped out on the M20 on your job, for instance, you'll be in about £45k's worth of pain. Good opportunity though, mate. Get the small print sorted and go for it! You'll recognise me if you come onto my turf, I'll be the one holding the Beretta....
  14. More competition for them now Hodge. Good news for us!
  15. Jonny will you move to Centreparcs when you retire?
  16. Agreed. Where is this magic pension money tree?
  17. It can and does. My old mans firm tried to 'readjust' his pension terms after 37years. Only the threat of court got him what was due That wasn't the government, mind. Just out of interest, does anyone know what age are we living till now, on average?
  18. Very valid point Dave. The whole pension system is in meltdown at the minute. What about someone who has paid in for 45 years and is now being told they will get buttons though? It is unfair from every way you look at it. I don't have any answers I'm afraid. I'm going to work until I'm about 50 then start up a combined arb/porn website that will see me living like a pig in shite until I die of drug and alcohol related issues (I'm guessing around 52).
  19. How does it heft compared to the Gransfors one Steve? I can't afford either but I can feel a fit of madness coming on. I was hurling my throwing knives at a Pampers box this afternoon while Feasto was having a kip!

Oh the irony! Come back safe Drew. Can't wait for the pics and story.
