  1. I don't get the targets thing. Surely it should be 100%? No one would be happy if the law said the target was to catch a certain amount of murderers every year would they? You'd like to think they would at least try to catch them all.
  2. Good point Mick. That's how my reductions are usually described.
  3. Mine is actually a medical problem. I have bulimia and alzheimers. I keep eating loads then forgetting to throw up.
  4. They are useful get out of jail tools to me, not a substitute for a proper tool kit. My topsaw and a cheapo Leatherman copy have come in handy a few times mind. I had an original Leatherman which was really nice, if a bit bulky, but I lost a mate's dads cheapo copy on a job and gave him mine as a temporary replacement, which seems to have turned permanent....
  5. Impressive rigging, no doubt, but a lot of it seemed more for the benefit of the ground crew and stacking the timber? It looked like those trees could just have been wrecked out then tidied up with a loader.
  6. Quite Mark. I think young Deborah has a promising career in politics ahead of her.
  7. Dartford is much shorter. It’s bound to be cheaper. Idiot.
  8. Reminder to self- Practice saying that through duct tape.
  9. Let me know exactly where you’ll be so I have a chance of avoiding you....
  10. That climber has no secondary attachment point. Disgraceful.
  11. It would, but it's hardly ideal. McTree had to redo his, and I've seen a few similar on FB arb chat shite groups.
  12. Yes. You should look on the internet Steve. More shit-your-pants near misses than orphan bus crush catastrophes, admittedly.
  13. Since they’ve been out I’ve seen at least 10 horror stories with splices slipping, which hardly fills me with confidence.
  14. Good to read your thoughts again Majestic! Never tried X-rings, the non-midline attachable thing put me off a bit. Reg did a good explanation of why friction is sometimes better up the tree than on the bollard, I remember you rigging some mahoosive lime heads off rings though, so they must have merit. Maybe I’m just a tight old bastard with plenty of pulleys?
  15. Like Mick and Vesp, not your battle. Just check access issues etc. with the owner and juice up the big saw.
  16. I got 49, which is my correct age.
  17. I agree Josh. How many are you getting?
  18. Waste of money. All the trees I work on are 100 feet.
  19. Good find Tim. Some nice techniques and kit there.
  20. Bit more honesty emerging here. 'I'M SPIKITUS!'
