Back to the snapped cherry I looked at a couple of weeks ago. The beekeeper had been in and enticed the swarm into a hive last week, so the client, who we work for a fair bit, was keen to crack on. The tree had fallen over a boundary, so neighbours fence, shrubs, ditch, lights etc. all came into play. It had taken down a couple of hornbeam coppice stands with it as well, just to add some interesting tension and compression issues. The tree was surveyed last year and appeared to be healthy. The only sign of anything amiss was a 3” dia pecker hole at about 6’, which was missed. Disappointingly very little comb and no honey when we sectioned it. Some good lumps for turning and a decent 4’ section recovered for milling though.

It is bullshit Tim. Who ever uses a dogtooth in a tree? That's what climbing is for, so you don't need to. Perhaps the assessors have 'GO BIG OR GO HOME' t-shirts.

My brother was out there at the same time as him Mull, and worked with him. It wasn’t a photo-call out there, I can assure you. I don’t need a spreadsheet, opinions are divided between better economists than us whether the Royals are a net gain or loss. Gain for me, every time, and they work harder than nearly everyone on here. Would you look forward to a 300 day calendar in your 90’s? Let the kids have a good day you bitter old bastard!

I won’t be watching it, but that’s because I’ve got stuff to do. Im sure my wife and kids will be taking in a few moments. The blanket media coverage this week is a bit off-putting, but that’s not the couples fault, is it? I’m not neutral, I’m a Royalist, always have been. The people who think they cost the country money are pig-shit thick, simple. Harry is a dude, I’d love to have a beer with him. I think he’s better qualified to choose his wife than any of us. I wish them all the best for the future, and hope they have the happiest day of their lives tomorrow. Bullman - of course she’s fake - she’s a woman! I’ll just leave this pic here for the armchair haters....
