  1. Thanks John, thats what i was edging towards to be honest. Dave- i am going to give this a shot first but i just know what Leeds council TO will say, if i try and get him on site i will get the usuall "put an app in" reply, worht a try though.
  2. Got a job coming up for a commercial client on a new build, they contacted me last week to have a look at some chestnuts that they thought were knackered, i went and had a look and yes there knackered alright, not massive and i have the job but there is a blanket TPO on this site, do i put an app in or do i fell under the DDD clause? i know theres no problem with felling them but i have always gone throught the council as i feel safer with that bit of paper in my hand. What would you do, just asking for opinions really.
  3. Ya left the best fire wood still standin John..............Thats the L/A for ya! good work mate.
  4. Bad news Pete, feel sorry for the guy, its a truely gutting feeling walking in and seeing you have been screwed. Hope he gets it all back.
  5. Got a bigish firm not far from me why have been using 2 tracked greenmechs for a good few years now, they have had no problems and have only good things to say about em, good piece of kit IMO and its british so no rip off euro exchange melarky.
  6. £1 a day sounds ok but what happens when they het screwed? who pays for the damage or do you have to have em insured? There good but do seem to attract unwanted attention for scum.
  7. St Dean to the rescue yet again! well done mate nice thought but it does make you wonder why you bother sometimes.
  8. John Hancock would be the best person to ask as he has done both very close to each other.

  12. Only get 30 days Stevie if you have an account, also paying 800 quids worht of work off in 8 weeks at this time of year and pay everything else aint too easy, this stuff aint as bad as you might think!
  13. Go for it Liam, i started off with a set like this and i still have it as back up, used it for 12 months aswell with NO problems, NO its not as good as stihl but it aint sh1te either. a set like that from stihl will be a grand i reccon so if you cant afford that yet this will get you some work and start your customer base off.

Best get booked in for some NPTC assesments then Huckie:001_rolleyes:
  16. Just put in google and it will come up, can buy on line.
  17. Same here, to be honest i dont mind paying 50 quid to have it done, its only once a year and deans right a bit of soot and in the wrong house all hell would break out. cant be bothered to do it myself, getting rods and soof everywhere, we harp on about getting a "pro" in so 50 quid to have the chinney cleaned is spot on.
  18. A new CAT scanner will be 400 quid mark but i got mine used for a 100, works spot on and just gives that bit more piece of mind. No you dont need a genny, unless you want to pick pipes up as well, i use mine really for leccy cables.
  19. Sorry couldnt find anythin SHERLOCK!!!
  20. Why bother with the hassle Ben, just price it in for sharpening and replacement, couldnt be arsed with brazing tips on. I use a CAT scanner to pick leccy and pipes, not bomb proof but helps. Find digging right round first can normally find most problems before the grinder is even fired up.
  21. Think you will find most accidents shouldnt happen but they do thats why its called an accident! sad but its a harsh world out there, sorry for his family.
  22. Always get one smart ass on here dont ya!!!!!
