  1. No you can do what you want to it but you have to give the council 6 weeks notice if after 6 weeks you are legally allowed to go ahead if the council has not responded. The only way they can stop you is to put a TPO on the tree although they do try it on and haggle with you. Its more about letting the council know whats going on really rater than TPO work where you have to have permition befor hand.

  4. Thats the same cheap crap as i posted, made in poland out of old coke cans and knicker elastic. Rather than think about the price think about what they are really worth, the seller on ebay has to make money on the sale so how much are they really worth? Cant see what the problem is spending £200-£300 quid on good gear that will last years.
  5. Glad the Yew milled up nice Lee, it would of ended up as firewood at mine, i had plans to mill it but i never have time or it feels that way.

  12. My greenmech 220 has a manual clutch and you have to engage at tickover as is wont rev until it's engaged. Always engage/diengage clutches at tick over, saves wear on belts etc.
  13. :wavey:If the rollers just stop its down to hydraulic power not springs etc, if it's a problem just get the pressure checked.
  14. James, get it insured fire and theft, mine costs me about £100 for the year and take pictures and log numbers etc.

  19. You will start on that if your lucky and if you think you work hard now you will have a shock! think hard first and go and do a bit of part time work to see if you like it. hard work, not he best money but a great job.

  21. Im on my second in a year and getting the feeling its about knackered, never had a spot bothere wit my 026! The moden saws just aint built the same.
  22. Well the snow here jon is white, cold and wet with a powdery density whats the snow like there?
  23. Had a GM 220 for 3 years with no real problems, v well build and though out, just bought a GM quad chip to go along side it. v pleased with Greenmech machines, spares and back up.
