  3. Just came through the post, they must of targeted the upper class contractors to send to:sneaky2:
  4. I would but these were about a month old and he used em 3 or 4 times, there were NO signs of wear or damage. The ebay guy offered a refund but only after he had them in this hands:sneaky2: Only buy stuff of pukka sellers like the ones on here and you wont go far wrong. Be V carefule with them.
  5. I got it aswell, seems quite good IMO as it seems "Grass Roots" based ie at a contractor level. i did read th Millionair bit and had a laff, if only it was that simple! I thought about subscribing to it but at £5 a cope i thought it was a bit steep......or am i being a tight miserable git?
  6. No it was just above the gaff on the main shank! i have pics if you want to see.
  7. They simply snapped as he was in a tree, i have pics and there is rust already there at the place of failure! there crap metal simple as that, i would throw em in the bin asap. my lad slid and grazed both arms but could of been so much worse. Simple rule, cheap normally eaquals rubbish.!
  8. be carfful with spikes of ebay, there is a guy selling new ones for 99 quid (Blue ones)that one iof my collage boys got and there total crap, made out of monkey metal and the leathr straps are useless and fall apart. the ones he bought snapped clean in half just above the gaff they were so crap. IMO there not expensive, for a piece of specalized kit that will last many years i think there quite cheap.
  9. same here, never engage at full rpm it will knacker your clutch in no time.
  10. same here, i hate paying 50 quid only to put it through the chipper in a months time. yes im a tight git and the wife says she has been faking it for years!
  11. Never had anything like this Tom but ANYTHING is possible in this day and age. Dont pay anything.
  12. Fair play to the man, at least he had the guts to stand up and stick to what he thinks is right for the country.
  13. Am sure you do Dave, i don't doubt it however a MS is not just about best practice, they dont say exactly how you do the job. It all depends how anal the customer is, i have just finished a bigish job for the water board and they were so anal it was untrue, my MS had to say exactly how and with what i was going to do the job.
  14. Not really in depth enough for a method statement though.
  15. Bob i think i spotted some down my yard thrown in a barn, i will have a look tomorrow and if im right i will get you one. have to come to sunny Garforth for it mind.

Same here, not bad at all when DRY. Keeping it dry in winter is hard mind. I mix it up in firewood and have NEVER had a complaint.
  19. Waste of time Dave crap firewood as its all rotten:lol:
  20. I got the metal plates thanks Nigel, should do the trick. The straps will be next as i notices one is wearing bad where it connects to the steel ring, why cant they have leather straps rather than thee crap ones supplied? I must admit i was going to get Klines or Buckinghams but got persuaded to get the stiens and while there not bad there not fantastic either.
  21. Same here, done quite a few this year.
