  1. You clearly have a problem with work methods. A safe system of work will help. No one chips my climbing kit because I am the only one that uses it, once its not needed it goes back in the bag and I put it away, its my PPE and it seldom goes out of my sight. You are in charge of the job so if kit it getting damaged YOU need to look at why and address that issue, the kit got damaged because YOU didn't do that. Give the lad a bolocking and HIS money back

  7. I wouldn't do that, I would stay with the developer and get him to furnish the proper paperwork from the LA. As a general principal. if you go direct to the LA and they get frisky with more TPO's the developer will be upset at you for dropping him in it
  8. Buy land check for TPO Fell trees anyway Build house Go home rich :laugh1::laugh1:
  9. Throw line and rope weigh even less
  10. There must be wires unless its a hydraulic servo but since you said switch..... So heres how a servo works, electrical servos are a coil and magnet system, when you energise the coil the magnet moves, connect the magnet to the valve with a rod and the valve operates when the coil is energised. Proportional controll is a little diferent but essentially the same principal If the system is hydraulic servo the jojstick is a small hydraulic valve that opens a bigger one when opperated. This means the controll can be small, handy and light to opeperate unlike the valve it opperates which is chunky and not at all small and handy. The problen you seem to have is that the coil isnt moving far enough to open the valve fully
  11. Without seeing the system its hard to say but single or double shouldnt make a lot of diference If you paid someone to do the job chuck it back at them first.
  12. Breach of statutory protection is an offence absolute so if you are in breach and they are bent on action you are going to have to take it on the chin. Better their mickey mouse caution than a conviction, cost, stress etc.
  13. You dont need to turn up the pressure, the pressure is already there but it sounds like the servos need to be set to stoke longer so thay they open the valves fully
  14. Yes they charge a fee for it just as cheque cashing services do. Some places also offer to put credit on your pre pay card and despite what people want to believe about certain groups, they will do this for anyone at all.
