  1. Its not about fearless, fearless is foolish and often ends up dead That man simply has confidence in his equipment and ability
  2. What he said Fitting a greedy box isn't going to be a problem and, providing you did your job properly SVA isn't a problem either.
  3. If you do end up with a second valve you can put the leg services on that and use the leg services for the grab and rotator. That way you have your grab and rotator on the same block as all the other major functions. Any clunky'ness is then down to the operator.
  4. Cummins, eaton, Rockwell about as good as It gets. Make sure the cab is sound
  5. It's only the grab rotator that's an issue and a good man would soon have it mastered
  6. Check the existing block, you might be lucky and find it has the extra services you need. ( this almost never happens for me) If it is a monoblock valve without the extras, you can fit a second block to operate the 2 extra services, it would need plumbing in on the pump side of the existing and fitting with a high pressure carry over to serve the existing. You won't be able to use the existing block functions while you are using the new blocks services which will make it a bit "clunky" to use but it will be useable.
  7. One winter morning I turned up to find the fire brigade ready to put my chip pile out, someone had reported smoke, it was just steam. The fireman was adamant it was getting put out until I asked him if he could actually smell smoke or burning. He went embarrassed and quiet and I put the kettle on for them. It was a huge pile and it never gaught fire.
  8. Its not honeycomb, and if it were you couldn't afford it. Honeycomb is the stuff they make aircraft floors with The boards are commonly referred to as ally planks Service metals is the place to buy Service Metals
  9. You have a better chance of injury from any old chipper rather than tracked. The circumstance described is rare indeed.
  10. Re: Check out these bad boys! You got that right
  11. It says on the back of my microwave that it "should" only be opened by a qualified electrician. You have to take the cover off to change the little bulb.
  12. Mole grips??? How old school, you never heard of cable ties:laugh1:
  13. Who said it "vanishes"?
  14. If you spray something with Glyphosate it dies. Farmers don't spray Glyphosate on stuff they want to sell because if its dead and crusty people wont buy it.
  15. Ehhh You cant eat anything that's been sprayed with roundup
  16. Breakers yards for used ones or Service Metals for the pukka new stuff
  17. I used Timpsons on the high street to get my zermats re soled (vibram) Happy as with quality and the tree week turn around
  18. Right tree wrong place, break out the big saws
  19. Bugger, that's a big nail gun:laugh1:

    Pantin

Foot ascenders in general are great, particularly for tall people.
  23. You have to wonder about the astronomically low failure rate that Petzl cited in the recent press release I have just had a look at all my ART kit and none of it is cracked:laugh1:
  24. Your second statement proves the first. If an authority is short on resources having the stuff on line will save enquiries and protect resources. Clearly some are just behind the times but there will always be those who try to keep things in thier favour
  25. They tip the balance in their favour by not putting the information on line and by encouraging people to ask if the tree is protected. This gives them an opportunity to look at the tree and decide if they want to make an order. Its a back door way of making the entire area into a conservation area
