  5. i had a 6" junkari on a mog years ago it was rubbish, i also used the 10" one at a sawmill i worked at, was ok there but it was for chipping slab wood which i think they were designed for. The problem i found with them (they may have changed the design now) the flywheel was at an angle to the rollers so there was a triangular dead space between the roller and the blades if a knuckle or section got lodged in there it was a pita to get anything past it:thumbdown:

  14. im sure i seen some pictures that looked victorian era in an A & F warehouse catalogue years ago, the work looked like it was being done in a large estate. they did have ropes tied around there waist.

Dean could you not just throw lots of tyres at the base of the tree in the drop zone and take the discs off with a vertical speed line on the same stem? i done it not long ago it worked quite well, as i was taking thin discs off i put a v cut either side of the disc so i could choke it with a tape sling then shakled it to the zip line and pushed them off.

    how much damage did you polish out the pot mate? very light scratching or medium/deep scoring.
