  1. You will be going some to do the body panels with a stick welder mick they are a bit fierce and better for heavier stuff, i would go for a mig i use a 160 mig and find it fine for what i use it for, i run it no gas for welding outside if i am doing railings and put the gas through it if i want a nicer cleaner weld in the workshop. If i am welding heavier 2mm + steel i use the arc. Do you not know anyone with a couple of welders to give you a shot?
  2. i mailed the guy through ebay says the unit was his but it was lifted and when it was recovered and returned the numbers were gone, was saying that it gets serviced regular at global, the email read like he was a decent guy. if someone is interested im sure you would view it first before you buy it anyway.

  4. i have recently bought a husky one after leaving my stihl one on a job, i had forgot how crap the husky one is : its difficult to fill, it seems to "want" to go on the wrong thread, it jams open, you pour the petrol in and the oil cap comes off covering you in oil etc etc A new stihl combi is at the top of my purchase list at the apf.

  7. I dont mind i am never in that much of a hurry to get working anyway:lol: they usually have to get away from me!! 90% of my work is repeat custom so i know the ones that want a blether so i price accordingly, i also write little notes next to there names in my book, something they seem proud of and when i go back to the job the following year or to do another part of the garden, i ask them about it. it can make there day, i try and make my own day and my customers as pleasant as possible. i also want my customers to get me back, why would i sabotage that by appearing ignorant to not wanting to have a wee chat.

  13. Whats the landowners problem holding back the magic potion?? And using it as blackmail against wee johnny is well out of order, if there was not a witness he should have leathered the landowner took the magic potion (and £30 for a chineese take away and a bunch of flowers for the wife) went home gave the wife the potion in the fried rice, end off oh and when the police come around he has an alibi that he was looking after his sickly wife at the time of the alledged assault.
