  8. can you put a pulley on a chain over the cliff then anchor the chain so you have a kind of steal rope guide and only the chain will rub on the rock.
  9. Got some last week and was using it today cutting firewood and doing some milling, really impressed with it also did not need to touch the low jet the saw was picking up fine. Also a great service from jon, delivered it exactly when he said he would and threw in some leaflets and stickers all in all a very positive experience i will be getting more when this lot is finished

Was using it today cross cutting some firewood then had a play on my recently aquired alaskan mill, would have to say a big thumbs up did not have that stinging eyes or dry throat that i was getting when doing the firewood (as its quite confined) and the milling was the same. good stuff
  11. theres a company in stirling that sell the cutter if they need the number i can look it out for you.
  12. you get a weed cutter mate its like a twisted saw blade in 4 foot sections with length of chain at either side so it can be as long as you want, and you pull it back and forward cuts it easy, done it loads of times with a length of rope on both sides with a guy on the bank and one on the boat. the problem with ripping it out by the roots is you will take lots of cadis and other bugs that will die on the bank and the silt can get destabalised causing the place to get very murky in a high wind. well thats what we found anyway. great job in the nice weather.
  13. Hi mate welcome to the forum. i would get in touch with sac and ask them as they should know as they cover arb . hope that helps. SAC (Scottish Agricultural College) - Enhancing Sustainable Land-Based Industries
  14. watch if you are taking your saws in to oz they are immaculate clean as they are very anal about contamination from outside sources, if the saw is covered in sawdust they may confiscate it. get it used then scrub it with detergent. good luck if you are moving there, wonderfull place.
  15. brilliant dean. i remember you posting that video. why would the council or police not do anything you would think they would at least go to his house and have a word ?!?
  16. need new blades for my chipper, who do you all use for replacement blades? Saturn have them but just curious who everyone else use. cheers
  17. Mate thats shocking  As other post say Dean have a check through you might find an address, then inform the police cause if you go round to the house you will end up opening someone up.
  18. well done pal
  19. i never liked the metalica style of rock either rich but i do like some metal that borders on industrial noise, so it sounds like work music is certainly strange as the dance beat stuff just sounds like a racket to me as you say mate different strokes...
