  1. yep this type of work can wreck a motor. IMO i think the secret is owner opperator as if it just "feels" not right you get it checked and fixed, this in turn stops the big bills as you tend to catch repairs before they escalate.
  2. Matty, thats a clean looking tranny, very very smart:thumbup1:
  3. i got my chipper from masons and have no complaints
  4. clutch will have more stress on it with more power in the engine, my mate just re-ajusted all the tappets on mine and adjusted the injection pump a bit that has given mine more power although it is a bit smokey when the revs are down in 5th but once you get going it clears.
  5. Here is a mental concept for the reason why Landscapers do tree work and tree surgeons do landscaping - It brings in money and they enjoy it. wow i know thats out there but it might be true i started out doing only trees got my nptc tickets then my isa cert arb but i kept getting asked to do landscaping work ( i had done lots of ground maintenance work in previous jobs) so i just do abit of both to the highest standard i can,i really enjoy the diversity of it all, i carry the proper insurance and have a large client base, i really dont see the problem that people have with this:confused1: If we are talking poor work standards that landscapers leave trees in well ive seen "professional arborists" leave trees in a terrible state and landscapers working to the BS3998 book. live and let live guys the more time you complain what others are doing the less time you are concentrating on your own goals.
  6. go through the general tree pictures thread there are hundreds in there
  7. WOW!! that will be loud how can that be legal, it must be i supose if its the council:confused1: i was stopped with the police whilst running a V8 in a capri with one box then straight through as they said it was too loud.
  8. is it noisy as it looks like they have done away with all the baffle boxes on the exhaust? Or is the exhaust split? great idea though
  9. :001_rolleyes:
  10. Did you find it tipped ok mate? i have found in the past on other vehicles when the side/tailgate opens at the top some of the timber gets stuck it can be quite frustrating looks brilliant by the way:thumbup:
  11. welcome mate
  12. correct josh:thumbup1: i have a smiley face crew cab that just goes and goes i cant fault it and i will be heart broken when the time comes to get rid of it.
  13. they videos were excellent, ive not heard that utah saints track for years:thumbup1: Top class mate on getting third, i dont think i could run along the ground for 80feet at them times.
  14. £2.5 grand you may be struggling to get an 02 crew cab for that money and if you do it will have high miles and been abused, you may be better looking at another option. as for transits not pulling there weight i think they are excellent pick ups and if you look after them they look after you. good luck.
  15. Dean, trouble follows you about mate. what a roaster acting like that and at 70.
  16. Happy birthday mate
  17. Really cool john
  18. a camon cm250, if i cant get a beam i will just convert it to suspension units with the same pcd as my wheels, but i would rather bolt off bolt on a beam. where did you get the timberwolf one as thats a lot heavier than the camon chipper
  19. one side of the suspension has went on my chipper and its a beam axle anyone used a company that supply these, ive done a google search and can find plenty but would rather use a company with a bit of feed back. im not going to the maufacturer because they might be getting it from the same company but whacking 50% profit on top. thanks
  20. very true Mark, these idiots give the dogs a bad name. stick them in a cage with the dog and see who feeds first!!!! would make a good reality tv show that.

    VAT Rise

It does not matter what way it goes as some will be happy some will not, i was VAT registered once, never again as i hated collecting money for the government, yes i could claim some back when purchasing kit and fuel but the trade off did not seem worth it to me, i stay under the limit.
