    Pull some bits out, cut some bits off, put some bits back in again, cut a few other bits off, pull it all a bit and then stitch it a bit. Simple as that.

    Yeah. Did a Kernmaster splice, Only did it to prove that I could! I hated splicing Fly and a Stein parallel core monstrosity

    I assumed the bracing is holding the tree up and guaranteed that it will fail without it? MEWP would be the more sensible (but desperately more boring) option

    People spending more time with family, actually taking the time to phone/videocall grandparents etc. People getting fitter, cycling/exercising at home. Cooking with the family instead of eating take out food. Lots of little things that I'm worried people will disregard because they're not thousands of pounds better off over the lockdown. To quote one of my favourite films "The little things, there's nothing bigger is there"

    Hi there. It depends on what the rope is designed for to be honest and what could happen. For example, if you are looking to use a dynamic rope for rigging, the piece is going to get to the point where it should stop, then go a bit further and come back up to see you! There was a great story on here of someone who did just that and watched an oak log punch hole after hole in the shed roof below! If you are climbing on a dynamic rope you are kinda moving away from the intended use. Rock climbing and lead ropes are designed to catch you if you do fall so are bouncy. Arborist lines are designed to hold you without any planned drops. Knotability with regard to mountaineering (afaik) is that you knot it at the start and you want it to stay put till the end. Arborist ropes are more frequently tied and untied
