  1. So thats not implied by putting ****? Sounds like you're taking the **** and being a bit of a **** by moaning about a point that doesn't need making. That's your perogative though and just my opinion. If you disagree, stick it up your **** and **** off. Not swearing though.
  2. Couldn't find any beads. Lent my last lot to Joe and he never bought them back. Hope this makes sense. Just cinch all the beads down to the end to cover up the fisherman's knot and tie a simple knot on the top to prevent movement.
  3. There was a no swearing policy that was pretty much upheld for a long time. The change in server removed a filter and now it seems to be fairly common place. No entirely sure its necessary. Anyone who has spent more than 10 minutes with me in the right situation will know that I'm prone to a few expletives. When you have to type them out, it becomes a bit redundant and pointless. That's not to say I've not slipped and done so myself. There is a difference between how you talk on the shop floor, in here and in a customer's garden. Although maybe there isn't. I know I wouldnt be shouting swear words from the top of a tree in a garden. Maybe some would. What do I know though.
  4. Then the knot can just be an overhand knot and that keeps all the beads in line and tight. The loop/splice at the end would just be to attach to the dummy. The little splice just means that you could do it all on a single bit of rope instead of a double one. I'll have a look and see if I can fashion something to show what I mean
  5. Best I can do without any rope in front of me! It's not hard though
  6. Just watching YouTube videos. I'm not bored or anything. I reckon you could splice some thin cord with a locking brummel. load all beads on and then terminate at the clip with a single fisherman's knot, slide beads toward the termination knot and tie a knot up by the splice and you're done. Buy me a reel of thin cord and I'll do em for you? I've spliced Zingit to see if I could, no kid would break that!??
  7. Ah, I thought they were bigger than that. Righto. I'll have a think.
  8. @Matthew Norman Will come up with something. I'm sure there is a way to do this. Whats on the other end? This is how I'd do it. Do the loop, then a crown knot, then the beads, then seal the end. If you want to be really fancy, drill the end with a pilot, drill again so stop the knot pulling through, tie the knot then hammer some dowell in to fill the hole and sand it all off clean
  9. A farmer stopped by the local mechanic shop to have his truck fixed. They couldn't do it while he waited, so he said he didn't live far and would just walk home. On the way home he stopped at the hardware store and bought a bucket and a gallon of paint. He then stopped by the feed store and picked up a couple of chickens and a goose. However, struggling outside the store he now had a problem - how to carry his entire purchases home. While he was scratching his head he was approached by a little old lady who told him she was lost. She asked, "Can you tell me how to get to 1603 Mockingbird Lane?" The farmer said, "Well, as a matter of fact, my farm is very close to that house I would walk you there but I can't carry this lot". The old lady suggested, 'Why don't you put the can of paint in the bucket. Carry the bucket in one hand, put a chicken under each arm and carry the goose in your other hand? 'Why thank you very much,' he said and proceeded to walk the old girl home. On the way he says, 'Let's take my short cut and go down this alley'. We'll be there in no time. The little old lady looked him over cautiously then said, 'I am a lonely widow without a husband to defend me.' How do I know that when we get in the alley you won't hold me up against the wall, and have your way with me? The farmer said, 'Holy smokes lady! I'm carrying a bucket, a gallon of paint, two chickens, and a goose. "How in the world could I possibly hold you up against the wall and do that?" The old lady replied, 'Set the goose down, cover him with the bucket, put the paint on top of the bucket, and I'll hold the chickens.'
  10. What you got planned for it mate?
  11. Treehog stuff looks terrible and I'm shallow enough to care what they look like. Cant imagine they'd be any good really either. I've had lots of pairs of Meindls which fell to bits. Not a fan at all of Arbortec stuff as had a few pairs in the past. Pfanner Zermatt and Matterhorn or rock climbing boots if pruning seem to work the best for me
  12. Very nice
  13. Must be a poor diet thing. I bet they'd have runny noses and be running in and out of the toilet cubicles all night. Really chatty though
  14. I might vote for it if I can select them
  15. That is one of the saddest things I've ever read
  16. Ours is open. Used it twice in lockdown. They shouldn't suffer for general ignorance
  17. What are you on about? They take your wheels off you and leave you with some bricks.
  18. Plus I wouldn't look to closely at norms in the industry at the current moment. Its not a true reflection right now
  19. In all seriousness though, you find that if you're a good contract climber, you'll always be busy however, farm work is generally less tool intensive/you can use items you may already have. Driving is even less. There is no wrong answer. There are loads of trees out there. You could make a good career out of just climbing and plenty do. If you fancy an easier day some weeks, it doesn't hurt to have more strings to your bow. I never minded slab laying/hardlandscaping although that may have been though some rigging mis-estimations in my youth! haha
  20. I just do the modelling for now for a bit of a break from climbing. I know @Mark Bolam 's stand up career is taking off
  21. Hello Eric.
  22. Ah, same difference really though. If it's your family and they're in bother, help them out in my book. I'd do the same for my mates. If I can spare it and it doesn't effect my household, you can have it
  23. Your actual son?
  24. There are two types of people in the world. Those who can extrapolate data
